Ok inspired by IGOR K Who comes up with some great games this is more of a opinion exercise of mind I know myself NYR IS RANDY WATSON. AND BRITISHLOVE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO MAY PARTAKE BUT IF YOU LIKE HOCKEY SUPPORT A SIDE YOUR TEAM IS WELCOME AS WELL RULES REAL EASY IT'S YOUR FAVORITE TEAMS ALL TIME LINEUP ANY GENERATION ( NYR CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOURS SO WE CAN HAVE CHAT LIKE OLD TIMES MATE ) then maybe discuss a team without all the ex oilers , lol. But they count. BRIT. If you need to ask bro or hubby or parents about the old wings feel free but knowing u as I do sure you can sort this solo. OH. YOU NEED TO INCLUDE 4 centers 8 wingers ( preferably there real wing but up to you) 6 defenseman 2 goalies and coach HERE IS MY ALL TIME NY RANGER TEAM FIRST LINE - Wayne Gretzky - Guy Lafluer - Luc Robatelli Second line - Mark messier - Glenn Anderson - Adam graves - ( thank you Edmonton and Detroit) Third line - Phil Esposito - Mike Gardner - Don Maloney. ( for years considered the best corner and board lw in game ) Fourth line Marcel Dionne - Jari Kurri Essa Tikkanin ( apologies to the gag line ( goal a game ) ...Jean Ratelle , Rod Gilbert Vic Hadfield But the signings of all those players who were not over the hill and delivered us the cup get the nod) You realize on the 3 and 4 line we have 2 centers who scored over 700 goals each and can't crack top. 2 Defense. Brian Leetch Kevin Lowe Brad Park Barry Beck Carol Vadnais ( a steal in espo trade ) Sergei Zubov Goal Mike Richter Ed Giaccoman Coach WHO ELSE? Only coach to deliver us a cup since 1940 !!! IRON MIKE KEENAN So BRITISHLOVE. We got you under the gun because we spent more money but that's a fantasy team of rangers that even your brilliant wings( the most successful American team in history) will have a hart time against I await your response girl And my man NYR. Let me here your team and opinion on mine when your on , maybe we can then discuss a all time team without so many free agents but hey it's my game ,lol and they did play at least one mostly more so , so they are fair game ...anyone else care to put your fantasy organization up against that lineup?? Canadians ? Maple leafs? Oilers? You can use your own players after all ther were yours first but one for us as well

Don't think it could match mine but that's a bit of cheating on my part. Well done my friend!!

We both didn't include there first big European imports ULF niilson AND ANDERS HEDBERG !!! Had niilson stayed healthy who knows he was touted as Gretzky before the great one ever played in NHL or wha But then potvins cheap shot in 79 broke his ankle and really was never the same since I know you are a real student of the game based on our talks all those years ago and the team you put out there but your allot younger than me did you know that was the reason we in the blue seats as I was ( best times there man) started all the potvin sucks chants and the ones afterwards ?

of course i know why! it's one of the first things i teach to anyone who goes to a rangers game with me. my folks taught me well-- they had season tickets for many years until the prices got too high… that was around '97. i go to at least one or two games a year, but they're so expensive. if i don't go, i can watch them on tv.
one of my dad's favorite stories to tell was hearing all the wolf whistles when ron greschner's then-wife, carol alt, would walk into the garden. i had the chance to meet greschner and when i mentioned this, and he sort of half smiled and continued in our conversation. when i met steve vickers (who was my mom's favorite player) that same night, he said, "don't tell ron, but we all thought she came in late on purpose." so there you go!
one of my favorite players was jan erixon. talk about a gritty player who could have been perfect for the team we have this year. he would have fit right in.
just so you know-- the next game lundqvist wins will be number 265, which will tie him up with eddie giacomin. if he doesn't get injured, he will definitely surpass mike richter's 301 wins to become the rangers' all time winningest goaltender within the next two years. on top of that, he has 43 shutouts. he only needs seven more to have that team record as well. let's just hope he can win a cup.
and now, some hockey humor.

Ny I SWEAR TO GOD ON MY NEICE AND MY NEPHEW THEY SHOULD BOTH DROP DEAD NOW , MYSELF AS WELL IF IM LYING WE SOLD RON 2 fur coats for carol back in the 80 s we had Anne Klein label dad and I Anyway they bought two wild minks coats for carol when my dad let me meet them I only asked Ron how his back was and hope he gets back we need him Well carol was so touched I didn't ask for a autograph she gave my dad two tix right next to her for the game that night !!!!!! Me and my buddy got to sit and hang out with her the whole 3 periods!!! I was like 21 felt lime a celebrity man. I should get slow stomach cancer if I'm even exaggerating a bit man!

On carol for a moment. Then BUISNESS. She was just as nice as she was pretty the cat calls didn't phase her a bit her friend was almost as pretty had a rock the size of jersey don't know who she was ..great person better night!!!! Now as for erixon best two way fwd if he ever had touch would have scored 50 a year the cat couldn't score but man could he frustrate the stars!! Dead right on lundquist he will have all the records needs cup to cement status as greatest ranger goalie ever. u know NYC it win or who cares .shame it's that way .. But he is a better goalie I agree. Good point my friend .... Glad you remember ulf and anders great history there !

I learned how to skate before I could walk, and have complete sets of Upper Deck trading cards beginning with Steve Yzerman's rookie year Many towns have other highlights, we have cars and hockey. That's it. We take our hockey seriously, after all we are Hockeytown. I definitely tried to stick with players that played the majority of their careers with the Wings/are associated the most with the Red Wings, there were a few we had for a couple season that I wanted to add (Chelios, Hull, Hasek)…but felt that they needed to be Hockeytown players at heart. I didn't want to include players that played only one season or we got at the end of their careers for a few years. All but 2 of my players have won the Stanley Cup (all multiple times except for Konstantinov and he would've won 2 if it weren't for that terrible car accident that left him brain damaged and partially paralyzed). I also have a head coach and an assistant coach…had to have 2, tried to play by the rules, didn't work In your face Rangers!!! Head Coach - Jack Adams Asst Coach - Scotty Bowman Forwards Line 1: Ted Lindsay, Alex Delvecchio, Gordie Howe The second production line (Had a really hard time swapping Delvecchio for Abel, 2 hall-of-famers in competition...if I were to ask my dad he probably would've stuck with Abel) Line 2: Stevie Yzerman, Tomas Holmstrom, Brendan Shanahan (I shouldn't have to explain this one ) Line 3: Hank Zetterberg, Pasha Datsyuk, Norm Ullman A line of some of the best two-way players in the NHL history Line 4: Kirk Maltby, Kris Draper, Darren McCarty Not necessarily the greatest players of all time, but had to keep the Grind Line together (Plus they got the Wings 4 cups, so they can't be all bad!) DefenseNick Lidstrom (Best defenseman EVER) - Vladimir Konstantinov Red Kelly - Marcel Pronovost Reed Larson - Slava Fetisov Goalies Terry Sawchuck Chris Osgood Alternates Sergei Fedorov (He's a dick, that's why he didn't make the time ) Sid Abel

But wanted to inspire you not to have to make a call home and do it on your own AND YOU PLAYING BY THE RULES? HA I KNOW BETTER . THAT'S WHY MY TEAM COUNTS ! If I had to play by my own rules my team with very view exceptions would have looked life NYR all time Lineup ...I would have added jan erixon though to shadow stevie y But I will admit the team you just mentioned has more firepower and deeper than the true all ranger team NYR or myself with my jan erixon addition or not But my team consists Of players who still contributed to the ranger legacy and most won us our cup in 94 so I do have some validity in my choice Don't forget I coulda used Brendan shanahan as well but felt he was truly over the hill with rangers. Gretzky did lead us to the semis one year so I felt he was fair game So as usual my dear friend you are a step ahead of me in the true all time battle of wings vs rangers. ..advantage BRITISHLOVE there But if you count my team as all time all ranger. I think I win every time. Dionne (ex wing). And espo both can't crack my top two lines !! And they played well in there NYR days!! So advantage kalas there my friend OH AND BRIT ....I KNOW YOU LOVE YOU THE WINGS. .BUT NIK LID GREATEST DEFENSEMAN EVER? ? MAY I JUST LEAVE YOU WITH THIS ROBERT GORDON ORR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( number 4 bobby Orr). The Beatles and zep combined!!!!! When it comes to how he influenced game , played the position , greatest defenseman that ever lived hands down And as I used to end my statements back in the day On that point. CASE CLOSED

OK. GUN TO YOUR HEAD ANY TEAM YOU HAVE EVER SEEN EITHER ON FILM OR IN YOUR LIFETIME BEST TEAM YOU EVER SAW ? I'm torn between two teams and my hatred for the islanders is not why I don't include them , I just believe the oilers had more weapons they were too young when the islanders swept them in cup finals .. And isles were a bit old when Edmonton destroyed them at there peak the following year . Apologies to ms Detroit. they are close but not there IMO I'm down to 75 - 76 Canadians who had a record of 60 -8--12 total 132 points in 80 games only team to lose single digit games in modern NHL And 85 - 86 oilers who were at there absolute best then Gun to head I go Montreal best team I ever saw. Ken Dryden. Was in his prime. Lafluer was in , full flight as best in game and they simply had the best defense ever led by Larry Robinson, serge savard , guy lapointe ..if you were lucky enough to get by them you dealt with Dryden. Who has the best win pctg in history apologies to Roy and plant but hands down best goalie in Montreal history. IMO no team I saw could hold a candle to them and i go back as far as 70 71 in memory... as a ranger fan this is unbiased So you two and anyone else though not many fans of hockey here it appears. Care to give your two cents NYR I know you'll be objective ..miss Detroit? You I don't know all that Stevie y love and all

NYR and britishlove When did Winnipeg. Get respectable ? I'm glad cause its good for the sport to have more Canadian organizations but didn't know they got good again Bet they are not happy with realignment next year it's a joke they kept them in southeast but 6 points clear is 6 points clear. Good for them. Any of you see that coming?

NYR has there been a more fragile superstar than" Sid the kid " ?? I am not talking regular stars talking superstars Gretzky was slighter built and played in 80s when the head hunters were all over . This guy misses chunks of seasons in a era where the violence sadly to me has been taken out of the game to a fault much like the nfl I am not condoning rollerball mind you but today much like football clean hits are call for penalties and this kid still can't stay healthy Not a good sign for the pens ya know ?

IMO the Blackhawks are the strongest, and I will hate the Red Wings management forever for ditching Hossa. Some of the new rules on hits are a little extreme too...you're right, there's plenty of fair checks that are now being penalized. BORING!
