I'm happy to hear that "The World Not Set In Stone"is going to be reworked for the album. I know we only heard a live version but it sounded too safe and similar to other DGSS material in my opinion. A re-imagined version has peaked my interest. That's basically all the positives I took out of this NME article. The rest is chest beating.

Quite considered views from Liam on what they have done and what they are doing.

What I mean is the rest was the usual band talking up a new release chatter (all bands are guilty of this), the booting down the door comments and this is the album we should have made after WTSMG. We have heard all that before with every Oasis release since 1995. I take it all within stride. I'm excited for what is coming on the horizon for sure.

Thanks for the scans! I'm glad they're really going far out, it's about time! I totally agree about the whole opening door analogy, there have been glimpses of a more experimental side of Oasis but it's always been quickly quieted.

I've always liked how Liam's stuck up for Be Here Now because it is a great record really even though Noel and the press always put it down Can see why they both feel the way they do about it. Liam - His voice was at its peak on Be Here Now and he has some incredible vocals on that album Noel - Feels like he fucked up because the songs were there but they messed up the production

"Look, for some reason, we've always opened the door and had a little peak into another world, but we always shit it, or someone's shit it and stuck to the formula... people get stuck into a rut. People are scared, man. People are scared of looking in the mirror sometimes. When you're selling 20 million records whatever the fuck it is, you've got people there going, 'Oh, let's just chuck out that formula again'. So i'm abit disappointed we didn't ever do it."
And there it is... that is exactly why Oasis got a pasting by everyone right after WTSMG, you can debate if it was justified or not. The problem was the band was never prepared to experiment or try something new. Be Here Now needed to be a totally different sound. Sadly, even now Noel won't admit to it.

Liam is running out of time.
Running out of options
And running out of teenage Liams who will give him the time of day.
He must continue to say sensible things like in this magazine interview, none of the "f@ck *previous monster band* and f@ck *previous monster bands main songwriter* too"

Did anyone know that there was no bass guitar on the whole Be Here Now album? Wasn't there bass in My Big Mouth and All Around The World? My Be Here Now liner notes read: Liam - vox Noel - guitars, vox Bonehead - guitars Alan - Drums Guigsy - Pothead

I like what Liam says with regards to Beady Eye's fan base, "'we haven't got many to lose anyway, so it doesn't matter!' laughs Liam". He shows some grace for once here and doesn't seem bitter or angry like in the MOJO interview, more relaxed even though he must be pretty annoyed at seeing Noel becoming much more successful

Maybe he is agreeing with Noel about being stuck in 'stadium rock' songs.
