Alberto Del Rio and Paige (who are seeing each other) both suspended for wellness policy violations on the same day. What have they been getting up to? Summerslam on Sunday, pretty good card I would say. Pretty decent build too and a lot of matches that are genuinely unpredictable. Lesnar vs Orton - I'll go Lesnar but could see a non-clean Orton win. Bálor vs Rollins (Universal Title) - Again a tough one but think Bálor will win. Ambrose vs Ziggler (World Title) - Can't see anything other than an Ambrose win. Cena vs Styles - Styles, please do the job Cena. Styles really needs the win. Rusev vs Reigns (US Title) - Hopefully Rusev but wouldn't be surprised if Reigns won. Banks vs Charlotte (Women's Title) - Sasha to retain which is the easiest prediction on the card, would be madness to take the title off her already. New Day vs Gallows & Anderson (Tag Titles) - Think this is where the New Day's reign comes to an end, Gallows & Anderson. Enzo & Cass vs Jericho & Owens - Enzo & Cass. Miz vs Crews (Intercontinental Title) - Honestly I don't care, I'll go Miz to retain with a bit of cheating involved. Couldn't care less about this match or Crews. Cesaro vs Sheamus - I'd normally say Cesaro but because it's a best of 7 I'll say Sheamus to win this first match. Carmella, Becky & Naomi vs Natalya, Eva & Bliss - Carmella, Becky & Naomi. Hopefully they pull some shit with Eva Marie because she's been gold the last few weeks.

Well that was a massive disappointment apart from AJ/Cena. Also holy fuck the new Universal Title is ugliest thing I've ever seen.

And yeah, the product is stale as fuck lately, they really need to start focusing more on adult males, they're losing a massive percentage of fans to UFC, especially with the PG rating putting more people off. I get the whole "aim at kids" idea. Once the kids grow up, a new generation of children will be around to watch WWE, which, I guess is what they're thinking. Problem is, once these kids turn 16, they'll go watch UFC or lose interest, I guess. Then, instead of the children of our generation watching WWE with their parents, they'll be watching UFC with their dads instead. Women and children make 45% of WWE's audience, with 55% being 18-49 Males. I like having The Rock back, I like Triple H being in charge of WWE, I liked CM Punk when he went all attitude era on us last year with his shoot. I'm not saying they need divas getting their tits out and Hornswoggle kendo sticked repeatedly by The Sandman (as good as both would be), but just make the product a bit edgier, TV-14 at least. Swearing, a bit of blood to make a feud/match more intense, less cheesy crap for children e.g. Santino Marella, Brodus Clay, etc. and start trying to find the next generation of WWE 'Superstars', you know...real "Stars" who make the business entertaining. CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are a good start, people like Wade Barrett and even The Miz, yeah. But, people like Chris Jericho, Big Show, Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, etc. won't be around in 5/10 years, and they need to realize that. I mean, Edge is gone already, and he's younger than most of them. Sort it out, WWE. I think PG is absolutely the right choice from a business perspective though. Think about it, it's the kids who still think that it's real. They're the ones buying the most merchandise and tickets to live events, from WWE's point of view it absolutely makes sense to sell the product to the whole family. That's the audience that the UFC will never ever be able to get, which is why I personally don't think that MMA will ever be as popular as wrestling. The WWE would be plain stupid to alienate 45% of their audience.

Worst Rumble match ever? Must be up there surely. Still better than last year's (even though there was the AJ debut). Still up there, though.

Worst Rumble match ever? Must be up there surely. i don't really watch the wwe anymore, and i didn't watch this rumble, so you could be right. but for what it's worth, the 1995 rumble was pretty dire as well.

this was the first rumble Ive watched live since 2004 and while I think wwe has whole is better than it was a few years ago, the royal rumble is something they cannot get right, 2012 is still the worst ever though.
1. roman reigns, this guy had a title match on the PPV. loses and then gets the best possible spot in the rumble, its like the writers forgot they needed roman to clash with taker and threw him in, however for what reason did braun interfere in his title match? is that now forgotten now hes going for taker? Im hoping they put him at no.30 because they knew he would get bad reaction considering people were expecting fin balor, samoa joe or kurt angle and will proceed to turn him heel which he needs.
2. undertaker, I have never seen him so uncoordinated and slow, he was just kind of stumbling around not really knowing where he should be, cant believe this is the same guy that used to do that dive over the ropes, apparently he needs full hip replacement which hes holding off until he retires, I personally feel he should retire sooner rather than later, you can see its all taking its toll now and theres no need to keep going, he looked great at WM 31 but he just looks a mess now, Im disappointed that wwe missed the boat with sting and are now steering clear of cena, roman doesnt do much for me unless he cheats to win.
3. goldberg, yet again he didnt take any moves so really does ask the question of can he actually do a proper match? plus while it was cool to have him eliminated lesnar so quick, Im not understanding the logic, they are destroying the aura of the guy they used to break the streak, why is it possible for goldberg to dispose of lesnar with no issue but cant deal with taker? taker never beat brock so brock is better than taker but not better than goldberg while taker is not as good as brock but better than goldberg.....makes total sense plus this taker way past his prime in this scenario.
4. baron corbin, incredible show, loved the strowman closeline elimination.
5. RR ending, not happy tbh, randy orton in 2017? really? I hoped jericho would win (face owens), he got dumped, hoped taker would win (face cena) then finally I hoped wyatt would win (just because hes different) then it came down to reigns and orton, boring, I just hope this doesnt mean another cena and orton match, thats 4 times in a row now that reigns has been a central part to the RR.
6. cena, not a bad showing but see no need in him being champion.
7. complete lack of any surprise entrants, very dull.
as its been said by others, WWE are relying on taker, brock and goldberg to make things interesting, cena is champion and orton won the rumble, all very safe, had taker, brock and goldberg not been in the rumble it wouldve been fairly crap, they are going to struggle when these part timers are gone and that wont be far away.

Sad seeing Taker like this, this year should be his last Wrestlemania. Looked REALLY old last night, fat and completely gassed after 5 minutes.
Roman at 30 was the biggest bit of trolling ever by WWE, awful decision.
No surprise entrants (apart from Tye but nearly everyone saw him entering at 10 coming). No big returns, not even a one off legend appearance. The middle portion of the match (basically after Strowman was eliminated) was boring as fuck and the ending was shit. Genuinely can't believe WWE are still pushing Reigns to the max and Orton winning? Lol. Guess this is what he named as his price for taking the Lesnar squash at Summerslam.

taker apparently in a lot of pain after the rumble, could even miss wrestlemania by the sounds of the issue with his hip. Its not good that hes in a lot of pain after only 5 minutes and hardly taking any moves, hes done. either way I think taker will either try and get to mania then retire or he will be forced to retire beforehand. Just a real shame that its looking increasingly likely that taker isnt even capable of having a great final match. whatculture.com/wwe/the-undertaker-hurt-after-wwe-royal-rumble-2017

its all very weird when it comes to takers retirement, wwe hasnt made any formal announcement about it, theres been no mention outside of the event on TV, wwe labeled it as "apparent", someone made a comment that wwe might of simply retired the character of the undertaker to allow mark to appear at things without having to live up to the character.
I dont want taker to carry on and feel hes done it all, it was a sad moment to see it actually come to an end but it does half feel like wwe are leaving the door slightly open by not outright saying hes done should he go and get this hip surgery and then want to come back for some match down the line, I find it abit hard to believe that wwe wouldnt do something to honor his career, its just kind of been brushed over with no final full stop, unless of course taker himself didnt want a big carnival over it, stone cold retired even more subtly so its not out of the question.
Im sure wwe will find it hard not to have him back next year.

WrestleMania was good. Can't believe Lesnar beat Reigns. I thought him going back to UFC meant he was dropping the title. That really surprised me. Might watch Raw tonight and then probably won't watch for a while unless something catches my eye.
