I checked out the laughing man tavern. Thier jukebox has no oasis and the bar is prety small. Doesn't seem like the rigt place to go. I lso stopped by the exchange which hs a juke box with everything from rock and roll star to these swollen hand blues. Very spacious bar. I talked to the owner and he wants us to come and will work with u to give us an are of the bar. Its a few blocks away, right by the whitehouse. Still very close to the waner I'm up for the Exchange, if that's where everyone will be. I'll be leaving work at noon (hopefully) and driving down. What time is everyone planning on meeting? Exchange sounds good to me.

We got a good group comming down to the exchange through facebook, twitter, ng.com now here. They got the jukeboc and the owner wants to reserve a spot for us. Is it an oasis pre party without the jukebox? I would love to log on and tell the folks on noelgallagher.com forum that the other bar they consider is not as good as the exchange. Are ya mad fer it? I will be in the city top but after 4pm it should be obvious. #madferit

Anybody need tickets? I've got one, and am trying to hook-up some of the other sellers I contacted with potential buyers. There's four Grand Suites out in Laurel that need to be picked up. I'd prefer one of these to the seat I have now. Wondering if we can all pool our resources and check things out.

Other than Whatever, I also want Noel - for the first time ever in the US - to allow the crowd to sing a chorus of DLBIA. For some odd reason he doesn't trust we can handle it. I think his presumption is incredibly off....
Just a few more hours now!

ps nl4e i can remember at least 2 occasions when I saw Oasis that Noel "let" the crowd take a chorus of DLBIA. who cares if he sings it or not?

I would think most importantly....with this being the start of another leg of touring....would be to be outside the venue for soundcheck today. Would imagine Noel would spend more time than usual prepping himself. Anybody out there?

anybody posting live setlist updates via l4e or twitter? With this being his first stop in his second leg venture in the US, the jury is out on what changes of recent months he will keep. I very much expect Wonderwall to be slotted back in. And I doubt we'll get a D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman. But I sure as hope he keeps Whatever. I NEED to see that tune live. Chances are it will be the exact same set list as when he was in the US in November though, knowing Noel. But let's hope for some nice surprises for the Oasis picks.....

I'm kind of expecting wonderwall to be back in. I could do without it, but I know my dad and brother (who I am attending with) have never seen it performed in the manner that Noel does it now. Spaceman would be a nice treat. Looking forward to supersonic and all the HFB stuff though. Funnily enough also really looking forward to Mucky Fingers.

I was expecting Wonderwall for the US audience, and the crowd were chanting for it as the encore came around.
BUT, during that encore, he included Whatever (which I literally went mental over), AND let the crowd sing the first two chorus' to DLBIA. I swear his PR department has been reading this thread!
It was nice seeing you again, NatalieMcKinney!

Great show. My rave has to be about the theater itself. Fantastic slope on the floor at Row F. Able to see Noel like I hadn't in the previous dozen or so times.
Thought Noel seemed to be in a good mood. He seemed to be fairly chatty, and in our nations capital, he had politics on the brain. He was plushed we were near the White House. And he made a witty Mancunian observation about how, "every where in the world, evvvvvverywhere" his American guitarist gets booed when introduced. He referenced his blog about the grumpy customs agent, and bemoaned a Cuban fan in the front rows about them getting into the USA easier than him.
Beyond that, he told a long story about Strangeboy Stacey having a brand new baby, and thus a "roadie" was stepping in on the keyboards for this swing of touring. Dude looked like he was jamming hard.
Was real surprised Wonderwall didn't make the setlist. The beginning of Whatever had me, and I think a lot of the casual fans, beginning to sing Wonderwall. haha. Everyone seemed to go mental for Little By Little.
The newer stuff plays well enough (EOTR, Record Machine, What A Life, TDOYAM, Dream On, Wrong Beach, SBJF, Broken Arrow, Freaky Teeth) that I ultimately think he should play less Oasis.
It's like, I'm teetering between wanting it to be an Oasis gig when he plays Talk Tonight for the 3483 time.
Introduced myself to Scully on my way to chief b/w bands. He ended up shooting a good two minutes of me on his iphone camera. I knew he collects footage, and he told me so when he kept asking me questions and framing me against the marquee. He seemed to ask the most questions about Coachella, whether I was going or not. He also seemed to re-direct my questioning when I kept gushing on about Oasis gigs and Noel experiences of the past.... err...
Good for the meet-up too. First time going to one of those. Nice one. For all you folks going to gigs the rest of the tour, build up some karma by selling your nice tickets to good fans. Bought my ticket from a guy who met Noel, 530ish, walking into the venue. Instant Karma.
What did the heart that was thrown on stage say?

Heart, I believe said, "High Flying Hearts", but that was just what I remember the girl saying who threw it on stage. ournoel, I think you were sitting across the table from me at exchange... maybe?? great review of the show. I actually ducked out early (first time I've EVER done this...) in the hopes of meeting Noel. I missed him by five minutes earlier in the night ) BUT, I ended up meeting him briefly at the end of the night, getting an autograph and telling him (again) about my son being named after him. He said, "Oh, that was you? Quite an honor!" I'm thinking, "yeah, likewise"! Got to talk to Scully a bit too, and be on his video. That was cool. What a great night. Good to see so many fans, and meet new ones. NL4E, thanks for the beer - you rock!!!!

Great show down in DC to complete my eact coast trifecta of shows- philadelphia, boston, and Washington DC. The Warner was a great venue for the show. Everybodys on the run, half the world away, AKA..broken arrow, and if i had a gun were the highlights for me. the show was well worth the trip down.
