It doesn't help that his reputation precedes him. People seems to take his ribbing very seriously. And I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that people think he takes himself very seriously.
I think often his reputation intimidates even before gets there. And the thing about Noel seems to be that if you give him an inch...he'll take it and then some.
Funny thing is that Noel doesn't mind when people are witty back @ him...but people think he'll get offended and say something worse and just clam up.

Thats the problem on these shows though, he's promoting his songs and so is everyone else. It's not in their interest to be edgy towards each other.
Take Butler for example, he was being friendly and complimentary to Noel but his put-down seemed rather aggressive and unnecessary. I've no doubt he was being himself but he can tone it down a bit when speaking with the fellow guests.

Oh and virtually no mention of Liam or Oasis, all about Noel. never thought i would say this but fair play to graham norton for that its all too easy to hark on about the past ie jonathan ross to noel and alan carr to beady eye but norton was quite original

Its what Noel wants isnt it..to be a artist in his own right and not be bogged down by liam/oasis every interview
and yeah i agree its better to have an interview like we had than one were he was asked what shampoo liam was using these days, and why Oasis had not cracked the mid-west.
funny but so brief

I don't see how anyone could possibly think Noel was being slighted by anyone there.

Did anyone else catch that Noel says "It took exactly, obviously 9 months for my son, Donavan to arrive" It was Sonny that was born... Someone will have some explaining to do when his wife watches it.

Shame the rather dull Butler was on and hogging so much of the episode - as a complete nerd I'd have been happy with Freeman talking about The Hobbit and Karen talking about Doctor Who - capped off with a classic appearance by Noel.
Noel (as usual) looked uncomfortable for a minute or so but once he warmed up he's hysterical and had the audience in stitches.
I don't think Noel was dismissive of Karen - she's naturally a bit shy and quiet in interviews and she knew better than to butt in and spar with Noel and he knew better than to drag her into the conversation. It's Norton's call if he wants to start playing guests off each other. In this case all Norton had to do was relax Noel a bit then sit back and let him go.

Noel literally lives in that jacket. Don't get me wrong, it's cool and all but every TV show or gig he performs at he is wearing it. I guess Bono has the fly glasses, Coldplay the silly band uniforms, Arcade Fire the Amish look and Noel the brown leather bomber jacket.

Is that the same jacket that he once worn in TOTP? that would be hillarious yet amazing

One with the fuzzy stuff on the collar and one without. This one looks better than the fuzzy on @ least. I think he is going to end up being someone that opens his closet and it's filled with 20 versions of the same outfit. Blue jean, neutral colored button up shirt, brown jacket.

watching the first video, i couldn't help but to think Noel's been his great self as always but everyone(guests) seems uninterested. Except for the host who seems to be enjoying the conversation. Gerald Butler and the other girl are like "man he likes to talk a lot..."

I've recorded it (only Noel playing IIHAG and interview). If anyone needs it, will upload it later.
