Yea what the Fuck, side 2 of Abbey Road is pretty much the greatest thing the Beatles did and they did a lot of great stuff.

She Came In Through The Bathroom Window is one of my favorite Beatles tunes. What's Noel on about?

The 16 minute medley is definitely one of my favourites pieces of music of all time. Side 2 of Abbey Road is mega - what's he on about?

if you read the piece he actually lists a load of white album tunes and then makes the comment, so I'm guessing he either made a slip of the tongue or the interviewer inserted the 'abbey road' bit in error.

That is not an uncommon opinion to have, actually. Even Lennon hated the second side of Abbey Road.

a few years ago Noel gave to the same magazine his best ever interview (imo) talking about himself, Liam , their childhood, their problems (fear, their physical and psychological abuse from their father etc) and analysed almost anything behind their behaviour.it would be great if someone could find it and upload it.

That is not an uncommon opinion to have, actually. Even Lennon hated the second side of Abbey Road. Lennon said he hated it in the early 70s when he was on heroin and he and McCartney were feuding and he was slagging everything to do with Paul (and Abbey Road side 2 is mostly Paul). He also said Ram and All Things Must Pass were poor albums (two of the best of the 70s imo). The second side of Abbey Road is fucking awesome. If I had to take one side of one Beatles album to a desert island, that would be it. I'm assuming Noel was misquoted somehow.

All I can say to Noel is deary deary me, the second half of Abbey Road is epic. Lennon probably hates it because McCartney wrote most of it all. And I never really take what Lennon has to say as he was a bitter arsehole for most of the time after The Beatles split.

To my knowledge, Lennon didn't care for it at the time, not just afterwards. Didn't like the way they were taking seemingly unfinished songs and merging them together, rather than finishing them off.

I don't believe that Lennon didn't like it at the time. George Martin says he was extremely enthusiastic about it while they were recording it.
Lennon (and McCartney) had a way of changing history when it suited their mood. The whole John and Yoko love story was changed around to make the participants look better

John was behind it when they were recording it, it was just after the break up when he started saying how much he hated it. He hated pretty much everything except Yoko in 1970, if you read the Rolling stone interview from 1970, he seems very bitter and angry. John had got back into"songs" like the 50s rock and rollers, he was moving away from the early progressive rock thing. I see his point I would of hated the beatles to turn into something like Yes. But Noel's insane to think that, I actually like 'Piggies' and 'Honey Pi'e too.
