as stock markets go up and down often depending on confidence and change after speeches have been made, does anyone know how the computer systems that tell you the level of the stock market know what to do? how is this information input as it is created in language but expressed in numerical units.

are you high? the concept of buying and selling isn't that fucking hard. 2 parties agree on a price (times sevral billion). The end.

i'll give you an expample then, after 9/11 the stockmarket lost hundreds of points that had nothing to do with buying and selling how does the information make it into the system simple question.
