It all depends so if you just post music and shit and like jokes , they think your juvenile.? And don't hire you .yet you can seperate buisness from social,?? You wanna be that judgemental,go head ,, think that's way off base Me I don't do that but I know people that do ....and yea I'd hire anyone without looking at fb. .. it's there for entertainment , so I guess if a potential boss has you followed on a night out with the lads , and sees the fun or little havoc on a nite out you create he wouldn't want u either ? Seems the whole world would be unemployed mate ,,,,, ps I ain't unemployed and I speak my fucking mind on face book

Would u believe that my manager is checking FB profiles of potential new employees? How fucking ridiculous is that... Having worked in Human Resources for many years, I can tell you this is more common than you may think. Let's put it this way, as a potential candidate, you have the option to check out the company on social media, and make a decision if you want to work there based on what you find. You can view the company's website, reviews about the company, glassfloor, etc. In the US, there are laws that prevent an employer from denying you employment based on age, gender, race, religion, etc., but if you're posting on FB that you're getting drunk every weekend, you may not be exactly what they are looking for in an employee.

But in most cases, facebook is a reflection into your life. It's how you're presenting yourself publicly. You can set your profile to private, and then it's a non-issue. But if you choose to leave your page public, the things you post are now public. Employers may have a lot of value in their reputation, and depend on their employees to maintain that reputation. Several of the companies that I've worked for have had strict standards and codes of conduct even off of company time, depending on the position that you hold. This is part of the contract that you sign as a paid employee of the company. I specialize in benefits and payroll, so the recruiting is not my area of expertise, but I've worked closely with many recruiters (my best friend was a recruiter) and there is a lot that goes into what they do. Obviously a resume, background check and interview would tend to hold more weight than a facebook profile. And I would doubt that anyone in the pre-screening process would be subject to a facebook profile scan by a prospective employer, that would most likely be in the final decision making stages. But my thought is this: If you don't want your FB profile viewed, change your settings (and keep changing them, bc whenever fb does one of their updates, it can change your settings for you) AND/OR if you're job hunting, use caution in what you're posting. And now having said all that, I'm sure I was hired by my company solely on the fact that every other damn post on my fb status is an Oasis song lyric or picture of Noel or Liam. They seem to like British rock where I work. Who knew?

They seem to like British rock where I work. Who knew? I´m nearly the same with occasional song from pete doherty etc. I´m not bothered to waste my time with settings on FB as I use it only to communicate with ppl who are abroads or it would be too expensive to give them a call. What I found strange is that there might be something called prejudice. Well, it was my manager not an HR expert hiring this time and she can create her own team of ppl and I really could not care less but I guess the first impression is not that importatnt anymore... if someone is following 10 metal bands and your boss is reading fifty shaed of grey Or it was her nor being professional and commenting photos of her possible team members in front of us. Then I spent an hour thinking what have those fuckers said on my adress before I turned up on my first working day

a few Facebook thoughts: i don't like when people have made up profile names, and most of the made up names are really annoying/stupid. the quizzes that people have been taking are annoying, not as annoying as the 'Year In Review's' but still annoying. i've also found some Live4ever members Facebook pages, including thomaslivesforever, webm@ster, spaneli, MG and i think House Of Wolves's page - who's smoking hot. Thanks.

Been hearing things Hillary Clinton is running for President. True? True It's a given. Unless health issues arise , Biden has zero shot , Clinton as of right now is leading every republican by double digits in polls except Christie .and Christie is now in jeapordy for his political life ...coincidence I think not . True story when the poll news came about that Hillary was crushing all the republicans but Christie in polls I came out on fb and said wait til Christie meets mr bills boys .... Next day scandal ... . Hillary will be next prez. Book it EDIT I SUPPORT NOBODY JUST STATING FACTS HERE ... ME ID WRITE IN REAGAN , OR BILL CLINTON NIXON AS WELL EXCEPT FOR WATERGATE HE WAS A VERY EFFECTIVE PRESIDENT BOTH DOMESTICALLY AMD FORIEGN
