good news, I think it's always better to have an ex-player as national team coach, in the tournaments the mental part is the most important one and this guy has been there and won. Plus, he did a great job with Germany.

Yeah...but I'm not so fond of the memories of him coaching Bayern Munich Haha, a Bayern fan there, eh? I thought it was quite funny actually ;D Klinsmann with the players they bought for van Ghaal would have probably been way more successful than he was in the end. Yet, he made some mistakes. Buddhas here in Bavaria? WTF?

I personally don't rate him as a manager - I think the moderate success he had with Germany was down to Jochim Low. I remember Liverpool fans were up in arms when those two fools Gillett and Hicks tried to hire him as Liverpool boss at once.

You're probably right there, and Klinsmann had rather "moderate success" indeed. He managed to score wins against teams such as Costa Rica or Sweden and a rather lucky win against Argentina in a penalty shootout. Low, on the other hand, managed a 4-1 against England ( ) and a 4-0 against Argentina last World Cup...

Mexico vs. U.S.A., tonight 9 p.m. e.s.t. i predict a 2-2 draw. aloha! some of the guys on the new Klinsmann squad have been on the team for less than 48 hrs. Mexico is showing up with its full guns blazing except for Manu's 'Chich' who still has a concussion. Gonna be a tough one.....

as expected: everyone on the US squad was a bit confused in the first half regarding what their new role was. Really picked it up in the second to dominate the final 20 minutes. Donovan was a stand out player again, deserved a PK....nice draw

a bit of a disjointed US squad showing up though...Guzan looked shaky in goal the other night but I loved seeing Beasly play his heart out...go Deuce!
