I kind of agree actually. These remixes are awesome, but they'd be so much more awesome without the cheesy xylophone parts. Regardless, you definitely have a career as a music producer in your future, if you decide to pursue that, ksnoek. Really nice interpretations of these songs from just simple acoustic soundchecks. Hahah! Thanks for the feedback, guys. Regarding the xylophone-parts, I totally agree. But it needed something there and the xylo was the instrument that sounded the least terrible ...so it was more of a "lesser of two evils"-situation. Cheesy, yes - but you should have heard the other options... ;D I'm sort of hoping that "Everybody's on the run" will sound more like "falling down", and the album-version of "waiting for the Rapture". and not so much orchestra/strings. I noticed when i worked on the remix, that even just a tiny bit of strings and trumpets made the whole thing sound a bit "mooshy". But what the hell.. I had fun doing it And as someone pointed out: It will be interesting to hear how close i've come to the real thing, when it comes out in october.
