It figures. Beady Eye is going to make their first Boston appearance, and the first "true" Boston appearance since Oasis played there in 2000 (they played in Mass. to promote DBTT in 2005 but that was at The Tweeter Center in Mansfield) and I'm not gonna be even close to a computer Friday morning when tickets go on sale because I'll be visiting Cape Cod. And I'm not buying a friggin' iPad. Anyway, I doubt they'll sell out the House Of Blues until their scheduled date to play there draws near. Where did they play in 2000? The Orpheum? Yes, they played The Orpheum in April of 2000. Travis was their backup band. I had great seats for that show too - front row of the mezzanine. After that, they played with The Black Crowes in Mansfield (where it absolutely poured), then had to cancel in 2002 due to shitty drivers in Indianapolis (they went onstage the following in NYC, mind you), and never made it to Boston during the DOYS tour.

Ah, nice little history, thanks! I just moved to Boston last year so it's pretty interesting to read all of that. The Orpheum is my favorite theatre to see shows at, though I'll always prefer a GA venue.

Welcome to Beantown! Whereabouts are you? Are you in the city or one of the burbs? In the city! I love it, it's a fantastic place! I live 30 miles north of Boston, practically in NH. If you haven't been to The North End for an Italian meal yet, try Paglucia's on Parmenter St., then head to Mike's Pastry for a lobster tail.

The people on the other hand is another story. sure, it's nice if you don't drive, or pay taxes, or read the news about how greedy corrupt politicans and state hacks are stealing your money. cheers!

^ lol thanks will,, relocating is a laborious and obviously life-changing process... if the day ever comes when my wife and i can manage it, we're out of here (why ANYONE would voluntarily move here is beyond me--- but that's just me )

Surprised these haven't sold out yet. I bought my DC ticket the day it was released months ago, and it's still not sold out. I could understand if they were playing Philly and it wasn't sold out as they were just there in July. But DC you have several universities to draw from. The surrounding area has a young demographic.
Then again, it's in December, so still along time to go.....
