$54 a ticket, are you crazy? you were so price gouged. Oh wait, that is a pretty decent price for a fan. Nevermind. Thought you were meaning $200 a ticket for U2 or Britney Spears. Gauged, no. Overpriced, yes. I have paid LESS in the past for single Oasis tickets. I think (like some other people in this thread) that what they're charging is a tad bit ridiculous for a band that just has one album out. I'm still gonna go and enjoy the show and probably have a great time, but that still doesn't make me any less happy about having to cough up $54 (originally $39 w/out all the shit fees TM tacks on).

Another point: Isn't almost everything technically over priced? I mean, if everything was always sold at face value, no one would ever make any money...... As a business perspective, BDI are right on the money (no pun intended) keep going on.... i missed that comment in the shuffle.....this is hours later......i'm more drunk than i was before. i would love to find a soap that really works. i can't take you seriously, at face value......

in fact, i'm annoucing my official retirement from Oasis, BDI, Noel Gallagher sections of this forum.
i was content going to the 'lounge', maybe saying something stupid in the 'person above you..' thread or whatever. i really did that...for years. i'd check the newsroom for real news. I came here for camraderie......to not be the only Oasis fan in the middle of nowhere.
i love Oasis, i won't get into pissing contests about them.....
i love you ALL. God Bless.

Thanks for retiring, we all appreciate it. Go find a Coldplay forum where you can complain with the rest of them. OR find a job so you can afford a $50 ticket and not be completely outraged. Good Riddance.

retire already. We are ready to move on from bitching about ticket prices which are close to the US average.

I think the ticket price is ok (I think it was $44) but what gets me is the Ticketbastard fees, which bring it to $58, which is a lot extra per ticket.
On the DOYS tour, I remember Oasis floor seats were $39.50 and all others $49.50, which is EXCEPTIONALLY cheap for concerts these days, especially from a big name act.
I'd expect BE tickets to be about $35-40. They're playing smaller venues, and doing many less gigs, so it makes sense tickets would be a little more. Like I said, I think $35-40 is fair, but the extra fees ($14 in extra fees is pretty fuckin ridiculous) piss me off.

New show announced: Dec 10th: House of Blues, Boston. Tickets are $35 (GA) and $45 (Reserved seating). $35 is reasonable, but I think I'll wait a bit closer to the date to see if anything better pops up.

Out of all of the shows I've seen at the House of Blues, only two have sold out in the past year and that was fucking Florence and the Machine and Bright Eyes, two bands that could of easily sold out a bigger venue.

Actually, you have that reversed. It does matter that I, and others, are willing to shell out $40-50 per ticket because that demand sets the price. It's working. They are playing to sell out venues. However, it does not matter that you are not going. Why? Because they are selling out regardless. Here's a good example: Do you think $8 for a beer at a sporting event is worth it? Probably not. A normal beer should cost ideally no more than $5 at the very most. So for what it's worth, it's a tad bit high. But it has remained that high for decades because enough people are willing to spend that much on the beer to complement the event in order for the company in question to earn a profit. With that being said, I bet you have bought that over priced beer at least a few times. Or popcorn or another snack at a movie theater. Etc etc. If the demand is there, the price tends to be higher. I repeat: what are you possibly complaining about? i can't help that you have no taste. i read your first line, for seriously, i don't care(for reallly, your first line......) your opinion doesn't matter to me, you've proved yourself to be. an idiot. that's not a very christian thing to say but whatever. prove me wrong sometime., and and not in this thread. actually, i'm with l4e on this one... he's been dead on target throughout this thread. could the prices be cheaper? absolutely. they'd lower the prices if no one was buying the tickets. they have enough fans willing to spend $50 or so for these shows for them to justify it. just my two cents.

That's The Cars, man. Think how many hits they have, not to mention they're from Boston! I think Beady Eye will sell out, just not within a few days or even a month or so of going on sale.

Beady Eye is going to make their first Boston appearance, and the first "true" Boston appearance since Oasis played there in 2000 (they played in Mass. to promote DBTT in 2005 but that was at The Tweeter Center in Mansfield) and I'm not gonna be even close to a computer Friday morning when tickets go on sale because I'll be visiting Cape Cod. And I'm not buying a friggin' iPad. Anyway, I doubt they'll sell out the House Of Blues until their scheduled date to play there draws near.
