I hear he is on tonight @ 9pm UK time. I don't know if it's a re-run or live though. Listen here - www.talksport.co.uk/If he is there will Beady Eye be mentioned?

He should be on live. He's on that show most weeks just talking about football. Don't think Beady Eye will even be mentioned, they haven't before now.

It seems that Noel has laid down the law on their being no music talk. He comes on, talks about football, answers a few weird questions about non-music stuff, says he isn't doing anything but getting a haircut that week and then it's over.:

Why doesnt someone ask him something on air then?! haha People don't get to call in. The presenters read of questions from the public but presumably all the music questions are weeded out.

I don't bother listening to this mainly because it's talkSPORT - the biggest pile of steaming shite on radio. Why Noel degrades himself by going on it is beyond me.

Noel was asked if he was recording any new music and said that he hasnt even started yet, and that IF he is to release something it will be later rather then sooner

Ok I agree with most above but we did get the 1st statement in a while Regarding recording solo plans. He has to talk about Beady Eye later than sooner too!!
Why he used this show as a platform is beyond me though.

I think that what it is. I think that Noel is wary of wasting hype. I think when he finally admits that he has been doing anything the news will start coming out really quickly to keep the momentum building...as opposed to us find out that BDI were working months before they even had a name and almost a year before they release any information @ all about the music or even launched the website. We know that he has to have done something so he is obviously lying. Miles Kane said that he has recorded something and I have no idea why he would lie about something like that. David O'Donnell from the Sand Band has confirmed he was asked to play live. AA has mentioned working on the album as well. What are the chances of all these very different artists deciding to lie about being involved on the same album. I think one day Noel will pop up on music radio, maybe Radio 1, and he'll announce that it's all going to start happening soon...and that the album is pretty much done.

Well you always seem to make alot of sense on here, so im gonna go along with that, i suppose it is in his character to be cagey about it then make some sort of announcement all of a sudden. BDI is brilliant so far, but my level of excitement for Noels album will be on another level

Beady Eye is mediocre at best. Why is Noel being so weird about this album? I bet it's done and he's sitting on it. But why?

Can you imagine the press feeding frenzy if both promoted an album @ the same time?
It'd be nuts and the music would get lost in the confusion, IMO. Overshadowed by the never ending saga of the Gallagher brothers.
I think he is waiting for BDI to become old news before he starts putting his own stuff forward.

Possibly and most likely he is waiting, but i have imagined what it would be like if they actually went out and competed with each other, it would become the nearest in the media publicity sense that they got between 94 - 97, if they were up for that kind of promotion then i think they would do it (it would be a wise move to get people talking about the Gallaghers again, and would shift several thousand oasis albums in the process) , but i dont think they can be arsed and probably feel too old for it now.

Noel is just one lazy bastard!!!!
If he's not careful, he's going to bring his album out too late and people won't be bothered about his new songs!

Yeah, i think if he keeps his silence well into this year people are just gonna get fed up and fall out with the whole idea of his return, makes me wonder if his passion for music has hit a low, i really hope im wrong and hes just being lazy.
It would be a great year for him to release something with all the big guitar based bands set to save 2011 from being a repeat of 2010

Noel isn't going to do what Beady Eye did : record quickly bad songs and say they are great. He's really waited at the turn (some of us expect what could be his masterpiece) and he knows it. If he gives himself a little bit more time to make it, for me it's not a problem.

Always felt that Oasis worked best when they worked quickly - sometimes you can think too much about something.

but that's where Oasis albums became less and less - Noel kept on wanting to take time off between albums. Always felt that Oasis worked best when they worked quickly - sometimes you can think too much about something. But Noel had written many of the classic 90s songs (Live Forever, Whatever,...) years before they were recorded. And there's a good chance that he might have changed and improved bits and pieces during those years. Alan McGee always says that he thought Noel had stockpiled lots of songs and that many were already written before Oasis had a record deal. Sometimes Noel agrees with that, sometimes he denies it (that the first three albums were already at least partly written in the early 90s). The only classic 90s song that was really written AND recorded dead fast is Supersonic as far as I know. So the fact that he is taking his time with his solo album (+ the rumour that during the last decade he kept a couple of songs from the albums because he thought they wouldn't work for Oasis) could mean that it will be a great album.

Noel is just one lazy bastard!!!! If he's not careful, he's going to bring his album out too late and people won't be bothered about his new songs! Calling him lazy because he hasn't released music yet is just being short sighted. How long you wait has nothing to do with the general public's interest level. You can wait 10 years if you want too. The key is to just promote. You promote something well enough, then it doesnt matter how long you've been out of the spotlight. Secondly, I dont give a damn if people are bothered with his new songs. If you're not when it comes out, the fair play for you. All I care about is that I get music from Noel. I dont give a damn if people aren't hyped up for it. To just call him lazy is getting to be real old. If it takes him a long time to make an album, so be it. As a matter of fact, I wish BDI had taken as much time as Noel is taking with his. I think their biggest problem has been dodgy songwriting, and I think a couple more months of writing would've done them a lot good. It takes a good while to make a good album (when one factors in producing and actually writing the material). I said it with BDI and I'll say it again, you just dont get up one day and say, 'let's make an album. Oh, look we have these songs laying around. They'll do."
