lol ok. I listened to some clips on youtube and he does indeed sound fine. Not GREAT, mind you, but definitely good. And better than I expected after reading all the bashing on here... His tone goes awry at times but he's clearly being assaulted by noise all around him. Not an easy gig. As for my experiences at Oasis gigs (and I've been to six), I've never once thought he sounded bad. Happy now? Very, its like christmas has come early. ;D

Liam sounds okay, but what does sound bad, are the backing vocals...

imo he sounded pretty good on Four Letter Word but For Anyone was a fucking disaster. There were moment where it reminded me of Oasis @ Campo de Polo 2006(Argentina). anyways, hopefully he gets better(doubt it)

I seriously, seriously, doubt it. yeah i do too. and he really freaking should. if 70 year old brian wilson with all the horrible destruction that has happened to his voice can hit all the notes in god only knows, then Liam should be able to sing these songs. you can just hear he has no idea how to control his voice minus one speed.

Let's be honest ur all lookin too much into this, fuckin ell Liam is and always will be one of the best front men of all time like someone said he's singing alot better now than he has done at the start of most of the latest live gigs, u sound like a bunch of girls wantin to see westlife with the harmonies etc.... Fuckin live n learn it's always nice to hear a live version that sounds different from the album, doesn't make it bad infact it makes it a whole lot better, wouldn't be the same if Liam didn't ave it on stage, king of Leon are a prime example, good band but u couldn't tell the difference between the cd and live, might as well just stay at home and listen to it!!

I was there last night and thought he sounded good. Not amazing by any means, but a marked improvement on the other times I've seen him (2005, 2008 and 2009).
I think people heard the Radio One performances and were expecting too much. It was always going to be different at a gig.

From what i've seen on youtube, his singing greatly depends on how bad his illnesses are that day. which is pretty sad. every so often you see the young brian pop out. anyway. just saw this one today. Yeah he looks like the crazy old man he is (and he gets worse as it goes, but at the start its nice), i haven't really heard of him singing that sweetly since the 60s. Minus that "life would still go ON believe me". but whatever. Mccartney had to do the same thing when he sung it a couple years ago. but my point for this was listen to him in like the 80s through early 90s and it's like wtfff did he forget how to sing? it's beyond awful. But once he got with a vocal coach, his voice got back on track a bit, and you can hear a bit of the old brian wilson voice. Liam should get with a vocal coach. His range is just gonna keep shrinking, learning how to use what he's got will make him a much better singer.

It's been a couple of years now since the last tour, but it was nights like last night that reminded me how proud I am to be a fan. I was watching those bootlegs (I'm not a fan of low quality videos, but it's the only thing we have atm), and just felt so pleased. Liam with his stage presence, Gem and Andy supplying the guitar sounds we have come to love, and the crowd absolutely mad fer it - especially on SOTS. This is what it's about. All that was missing from the party was Noel.
I want to reiterate: Last night was kind of special. In August 2009, who would have thought we would see the majority of Oasis on stage again together?
I think we all took Oasis for granted. At least I know I did. Liam's right, nothing lasts forever. So let's enjoy it while they're still around.
