Interesting that TRC's solo is Andy's. A backwards solo

He's always like that lately. I like the fact we get to here Gem & Andy more often. Gem is well funny! And Liam really doesn't give a shit about who wrote which tune, Gem and Andy were always like 'I did this one' but Liam didn't say that once. It was always Gem or Andy that had to say 'this is a Liam tune'

It was enjoyable. Nothing really amazing to note from the interview portions. Good listen regardless.

I've got to admit I was slightly disappointed with it. Noel and Gem did the same thing for both DBTT and DOYS, and they were both littered with detailed explanations on songwriting, recording and general anecdotes. With Beady Eye, the notion of not over-thinking, over-analysing and over-working on the record comes across in their interviews, they're not overly forthcoming with the same kind of details. I guess none of them can tell a story like Noel.

i think you have to consider that the album took maybe 20% of the time the last oasis record did. "SPOONS on the drumkit!!" "It's a toy sitar!" *general audio byte about the magic of liam's songwriting style*
There probably wasnt much of that kind of stuff happening.
At the very least, we know who wrote each song now, right?

As good as DGSS is, I still wish Noel was there at the helm, and Oasis were still in tact.

To satisfy my curiosity, I've just looked at the running times for both this interview and the last one for DOYS, when taking out the songs. DOYS = 67mins. Beady Eye = 39mins. And that's with 2 more songs on the record! Anyway, if you want to listen, download here. 224k Mp3 from the Virgin Media broadcast. www.multiupload.com/A9UEBY5CME

Nice one. So there are track by track-interviews on DBTT and DOYS also, and they are great? Anyone got a link?

I think id like to see an all written Andy album, he is clearly the Noel of the band (although not by as much a margin as Noel was).
Dont get me wrong i like the other tunes, but i know we would all be very excited to hear 11-13 tunes from Andy

It's just that a lot of people don't like his taste. He tends to be a bit too glam-rock for me, although Wind Up Dream is probably my favourite song on the album. Andy's songs often sound contrived, trite and a lot of the time fail to build on the momentum he creates in the verses. It's a very noticable trademark. Liam's songs usually suffer from the same problem, actually, though he's a bit more unpredictable and can occasionally produce something bordering on greatness.

I agree with some of this although i think andys momentum is generally fine apart from KFAD, KTDA is a great example of this great versus and even better chorus, but i see your point on some of his songs, i just think his quality of tunes on this album are above the other 2 with Gem 2nd then liam 3rd. I agree Liam can sometimes border on brilliance but always seems to miss out a good chrous or hook, wigwam for example - live the versus that pound along brilliantly then the sha la la's come in and i just cant listen to it, the end bit is great but that song has got alot of missed potential
