WHEN LIAM GALLAGHER signed up as a face of dog charity Pup Aid last year, I thought all the drugs had finally pickled his brain. But the OASIS star genuinely cares for man's best friend - as his latest interview proves. The BEADY EYE frontman has leapt to the defence of dachshunds - or sausage dogs as they are better known - after hearing the breed is endangered. He and NICOLE APPLETON have one of the four-legged friends called Ruby and on a recent trip to Germany Liam said he would be a crusader for their cause. He ranted: "Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I'm back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall." That's a lot of poo bags on Primrose Hill. Liam might be showing his caring side with canines but the love doesn't extend as far as his own flesh and blood. He said: "Thinking about touring with Oasis again in ten years makes me vomit. What should a reunion be good for? Why break up with a band, just to come back together and play old songs?" I reckon about £10million is a decent reason. Beady Eye are setting their sights on cracking America and plan a huge US tour, starting on the east coast and working their way to LA. Good luck to the tour manager hired for those gigs – keeping Liam in check in America has been a tricky business in the past. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3407535/Liam-on-a-roll-to-save-sausage-dog.html
