That opening line rings a little too true for Rod Stewart. Damn.

LOL I always think of that episode when I hear Rod Stewart. But you know, he's not all that bad...at least he wasn't. He's put out some great music in the 60s and 70s, even though he really has made a career out of covers and a raspy voice. The cover's alright, I dont mind it. Not extraordinary or worthy of repeated listens but not bad either. Can soemone upload his cover of C&A?

It's not that bad to be honest - heard a lot worse covers and it's cool he covers Oasis. Must be a fan to cover the relatively unknown Rockin Chair.
I've nothing against Rod Stewart to be honest. And that song of his, Young Turks, is a guilty pleasure of mine...

That "Rockin' Chair" cover isn't bad. I don't mind it. His "Cigarettes and Alcohol" version is unlistenable, though.

I am glad to see Oasis getting some love from their peers, but that cover left something to be desired. Weird!

rod stewart deserves ridicule for continuing to do asininely terrible cover albums and pop standards records and forcing the faces to go on tour with carrot top mick hucknall.
it's like michael jordan playing baseball, except michael jordan came back. rod didn't, and has been shit since.

Hmmmm ! Cant believe Rod Stewarts covering this !
Top marks to whoever suggested he sing this song though. You would think someone like Rod would sing the usual Oasis song (Live Forever etc) but picking this great b-side, good shout.
It'll give Oasis some more good recognition, same for Leona Lewis etc, i'm no fan of hers at all and i didnt like her cover of SCYHO but it 'should' get a few youngsters interested in finding out about the original and Oasis.

Pretty cool cover, nice to hear someone like Rod singin such a relatively unknown Oasis track. Only criticism is the quality of the production, the drums sound like they've been played from a shitty old Casio keyboard. Good cover tho
