i havent listened to it as a whole since 2008 probably, but there are some great tunes, TSOTL has some serious balls, Im Outta Time is like the Oasis swan song,TT is just wow and TBWTL is quite cracking. my complaint would be with Liams vocals, you can really tell theyve been edited, compared with DGSS they sound unnatural

The worst album Oasis has ever made to me. My biggest Oasis disappointment. Nah it's miles better than HC. Love the album the only song i don't like is Nature of reality.

I'm stunned some people think its the worst.
I still cant stand Get off your high horse lady, ridiculous track. The rest of the album i really like, some great tunes on there. To be where theres life i really like. Saw Oasis a few times during this tour and Liam was on fire, some great performances.
But mimmihopps...
Falling Down ? Classic tune Shock of the Lightning - excellent. I'm outta time - Liams best tune
Soldier on to be fair is a bit dull and a 'plodder' but i quite like this track strangely enough as i dont play this song that much so it sounds quite 'new' and fresh compared to say Wonderall/DLBIA which i've played a million times.
Worst album for me is Heathen Chemistry. The singles are good, the album tracks average but the crime against music is She is Love, urrggh

Soldier On is an amazing dreamlike tune, very psychedelic, and when they broke up the lyrics made a lot of sense.

GOYHHL was one of the worst tracklisting decisions ever...instantly skipped....first time i heard TSOTL and falling down i thought they were amazing but both have maybe got a bit boring now especially falling down. Nature of Reality sucked.....i do remember first sticking on the album on the night it leaked on here and thinking Bag It Up and the turning were outstanding....it has decent tracks but as far as albums go i think its only saved from the bottom spot by SOTSOG

Bag It Up Waiting for the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning Falling Down
These to me, are all brilliant songs. Falling Down has become one of my favourite all time Oasis songs.
I consider it to be the only Oasis album with a loose theme or atmosphere to it. It really has an album feel, and even the weaker tracks don't sound too bad within the context of the album. I think even GOYHHL works in that way - but I'd rarely if ever put this on a mix CD or listen to it on its own.

I really enjoy the album still. I am very happy that the band ended on Don't Believe The Truth and Dig Out Your Soul both really good albums. Stand out tracks for me would be The Turning, Waiting For The Rapture, Out Of Time, Falling Down, To Be Where There's Life and Soldier On. In The context of the album Soldier On is fantastic.

Bag It Up and Falling Down are still two of my favourite Oasis tracks. I think Falling Down is very underrated.

I do fluctuate about this album, sometimes the second half really irks me. I guess it makes it worse KNOWING what songs Noel left off because of a silly, petulant argument with Liam fucking off to get married (AND what makes it even worse is that we now know Liam was cheating after said marriage. Jesus Christ).
But right now, I'm actually digging Dig Out Your Soul.
I don't mind GOYHHL, because it fits nicely. But it did take the place of Record Machine (allegedly), which is annoying.
TBWTL is decent enough.
AGN is MOS 2.0. Not horrid, but pointless.
Soldier On is an important song because of how the band ended (prior to their Second Coming, which isn't far away).
The only song that is really really bad is TNOR. What the fuck is that dross?
SOTSOG had more anthems and sing-alongs, but it also had worse filler than DOYS.
I love how the albums actually tell the journey of Oasis as they all fit the times. Really smart semi-coincidence.

Swap: To Be Where There Is Life with the Richard Fearless version. Add: Record Machine, Come On It's Alright and Boy With The Blues Outcome: A terrific Oasis album from top to bottom. Something they didn't do after the year 1997.

Disagree. DBTT is one of THE best tracklisting since 1997. The only song that is a miserable annoyance is A Bell Will Ring. DBTT was a safe album, but Oasis nailed it. And they nailed that tour, too. Find my posts circa 2005 about DBTT - you'll see how I thought Oasis would continue for many years to come, because it was a harmonious tour. For once. It looked like the Gallagher's put their differences aside, and finally united as brothers. But, a mere three years later, that all collapsed. So disappointing.

Yeah DBTT was safe, a little too safe when you think back to Noel's original intentions (Death In Vegas style). There are still a bunch of tunes I don't like on that album (The Meaning of Soul, Keep The Dream Alive and Let There Be Love is kind boring). I'd have preferred if Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, Boy With The Blues or Pass Me Down The Wine made the album. I disagree, the DOYS tour setlist pisses all over the DBTT one.

TSOTL and For Anyone would be examples. In BE there's not so much effects, but quite a lot of autotune...

I go through different phases with Dig Out Your Soul to be honest. I can never fully make up my mind if it a great album or not. I still absolutely adore SOTL, The Turning and Falling Down though. The final four songs are a still a major disappointment and tarnish the overall feel of the album IMO. Incidentally, GOYHHL is the girlfriends favourite Oasis song. I'll never understand that one.

I think it is safe to say DOYS is not a great record. Great records don't contain that many shit tunes. The album does contain some great tracks like TSOTL and Falling Down. DOYS joins the rest of the post 2000 albums of never being a complete piece of work.

I listened to this album again and I have to say that it's good piece of work... Just two really shitty tunes: "High Horse Lady" and "Soldier On" <but I like psychedelic moments on it> (I also don't like Falling Down, Nature of Reality is average but this riff is MEGA). Pure rock n roll.

I love it from the start to the end. Every tune has its right to be there in my opinion. Soldier On is a very underrated track in my opinion, that should get more credits. It`s a track I forget about sometimes, but then I listen to it and its just great. High horse lady is great because its very groovy and something nobody expected from Oasis, it was kind of a step out of the comfort zone. the first half is brilliant. I really like Ain`t got nothin`, especially after listening to it in a live situation. pure energy. to be where there`s life had given the album a more psychedelic feel and i like a Oasis tune, without guitars. The Nature of Reality is great for me, cause it was also a step out of the comfort zone. This was the closest Oasis had gotten to electric blues, mixed with that dirty and dark psychedelic feeling it was really interesting.

Switch the last three tracks with Come On Its Alright, Record Machine and Stop The Clocks and you've got the best Oasis album ever.

It would be a damn good and excellent album though, with those 3 changes. They should have just made it a killer EP with 7-8 tracks. Very Radiohead/LedZeppelin. The less is more approach. 1. Bag It Up 2. The Turning 3. Waiting For The Rapture 4. The Shock of The Lightning 5. I'm Outta Time 6. Falling Down 7. Boy With The Blues
