Dear Noel, What biscuit would you recommend with a cup of tea? My mate reckons that you're supposed to have Rich Tea with tea - hence the name - but the last time I tried that the biscuit broke in half and I had to scoop the soggy bit out with a spoon. Thanks, supersonic1983 PS: Please could you write a song about my pet turtle on your next album. He's called John. MUM! GET A SPOON! ME BISCUITS SINKING IN ME BREW!

Here's mine :
Thank you Noel, for making the soundtrack of my life. I fell in love with Oasis in 1994 (only 8 years old!), and you inspired me like many others to pick up a guitar.
Thank you for everything. Alex, Norway.
And for the record : Be Here Now was fucking brilliant.

Noel, you are one of the few reasons I picked up a guitar. Amazing songs, simple structures. You are a god. Now, release a solo album and press on as you always have.
Sean (in America. Yes, the United States of America. Yes, you have huge fans here. Come to Tampa.)

Noel, don't be such a cry baby and get back to Oasis.
I know that it's all Liam's fault(2000 incident started it all like a snowball), but the world still need Oasis.

Dear Noel
As a born and bred Mancunian, my first real memories of music are sitting in my Dad's Ford Sierra, listening to Definitely Maybe and constantly asking him to re-wind Supersonic. Some 15 years later, I sit here as a 20 year old lad thinking about what has happened in between, and I can honestly say that Oasis have been the soundtrack to my life. Even now, or last year when DOYS was due for release I got massively excited at the prospect of a new Oasis album, more so than any other band. The passion, the arrogance, anything is possible attitude that you display in your music is something that will remain with me forever.
Whatever you do in the future, be it solo or otherwise, I'll never forget what your music did for me, and will continue to do for me.
It's been a fucking pleasure.
Phil

I know the exact date the 90s finally started - June 7, 1994. As a decade it was beyond awful up to then (C&C Music Factory? Whitney Houston? D:Ream for fuck's sake?) but that was the night I saw Oasis for the first time. It was on long-defunct Channel 4 show Naked City and, irony of ironies, you were on with D:Dream. I remember thinking Shakermaker was pretty good but it was Supersonic that really made me think I might have finally found a band I could believe in. And then there was the attitude: the black Ray Bans even though it was a dark studio, the unmistakeable tinge of menace, the swagger born of a self-belief bordering on delusional and the general don't-give-a-fuck air of it all. You were pretty funny in the interview too. For the 15 years since then you've been my favourite band - although I must admit there was a bit of a wobble when Be Here Now came out. Your songs have soundtracked some of the happiest times of my life and I will never forget the gig at Maine Road in '96 which spoiled me for every concert ever since. That whole day was like the best E ever. I've listened to your music with girlfriends - many of whom have come and gone, one who has stayed and is about to become my wife (Champagne Supernova's cued up for final song at the wedding disco!) - and it has helped cement so many close friendships down the years. It's sad it's ended like this but nothing lasts forever and some memories are too precious to be spoiled. Your legacy should make you feel nothing but pride and I look forward to hearing your solo material - if it's as good as the stuff you've been rehearsing in those YouTube clips it should be worth waiting for.
All the best and thanks again,
Grant

Dear Noel,
My pet turtle died yesterday. I just thought you'd like to know because he was listening to Shakermaker at the time. It was his favourite song. I don't know why. I used to tell him that there were six or seven songs better on Definitely Maybe, but he was stubborn to the very end. Perhaps it was because he liked the melody; perhaps it was because he was a turtle and he didn't understand what I was telling him. Either way, I'm quite sad. Please could you write a song about me on your next album?
Thanks,
supersonic1983
PS: Where does Liam buy his underwear?

Noel, you've managed to impact my life from 4,000 miles away without meeting once. I'd say that's an accomplishment. If I could do that to just one person i'd consider my life a success. Thanks for it all. -Mike
