Has anyone had their refund cheque through yet? They should all be sent out by friday shouldn't they as that's 6 weeks from the deadline of when they had to be sent back (June 12th)?

Ive emailed an address I found in the FAQ section of the official site, it's quite hard to find a number to call really as it was such a one off thing.

As an outside spectator, I say that anyone who's demanding a refund for a gig that they saw completed, bar the encore, and had a mega time is a greedy vagina
However
If I attended and had said good time, seeing Oasis for free may be too good to pass up, so I have no idea what I would have done.
But since I'm not in that latter group, I will continue to label you 'fans' as lazy vaginas. The boys produced one hell of a show and pulled it together when it looked unlikely, and you demand them to give the concert to you for free? What happened to supporting the lads?

What happened to supporting the lads? do you really think oasis had to give up any of their money? i think insurances are paying for those refunds. Who gives a fuck? Oasis thought that the rest of the gig would go poorly so in order to keep it going and to keep the fans there they offered it for free. Technically, that was the right ting to do, you dont want thousands of fans leaving bc your staff fucked up! But the boys pulled it together, they performed a blinder especially in such circumstances. They could have easily walked off an not offered a refund altogether, or they could have walked off and give the money back, but they continued in any case and performed one hell of a gig. Why, other than people wanting money for the sake of it, should the crowd be refunded? We've seen in later shows where the power cut that Noel is less rash, thank fuck he learned his lesson. Ok, the crowd have the right since it was offered, but can you really complain? Anyway, 5.25am, latest I've stayed up for ages - I'm off to bed. See ya.

Any news yet creeky/ctidaz? Nothing for me still. I checked and my tickets were received on the 9th June so well before the deadline and I made sure everything was filled in correctly on that form too. I hope it turns up soon as my mates are on at me for their cash!!

Did you all use recorded delivery? I didnt, so I think it may have got lost in the post.
I've tried looking for numbers to ring but I cannot find any. The only reason I am asking for a refund is because I bought 6 tickets and my mates are asking for a refund. I dont want to look like a twat saying "no im not gettin you one because you saw the whole gig". Some people on this site are gettin too far up Liam and Noels arses, yeah maybe they still went on with the gig but their fuckin loaded and its not exactly like im the richest fucker from Manchester in the credit crunch.
Thanks.

I used recorded delivery ctidaz. I thought it'd be the best thing to do as it's proof of arrival of your tickets/refund form. As I mentioned in an earlier post I sent a letter yesterday to the original address asking for information as I too have had problems finding a relevant phone number etc. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
P.S Im in exactly the same position as you ctidaz with mates wanting the money back! If it was just my ticket I probably wouldn't have bothered/given up by now but seeing as it's nearly £230 and I haven't got that kinda spare money lying about I need to carry on with it!

Someone from oasisinet posted this "refusal letter":-
"Your application for a compensation payment for the 4 June Oasis in Heaton Park was ineligible. One of the following reasons will apply:
You were not the original purchaser of the tickets returned. The tickets were not purchased from an official Oasis ticket agent The tickets returned were not scanned on entry to the show. The applications form was incorrectly or partially completed. The application was for more than the four tickets per applicant allowed. Multiple applications were received by you all of which are disallowed. Your application was received after the closing date for submission. We hope you enjoyed the show anyhow. No correspondence will be entered into."
WHERE in the original terms & conditions does it say about the limit of 4 tickets?!
"Concert goers at last night's (June 4) Oasis performance at Heaton Park wishing to receive a refund must print out, complete and sign this page and send together with their ticket to OHP, P.O. Box 6925, London W1A 3UT to arrive no later than Friday the 12th June. An amount of £38.30 will be paid within 42 days of Friday 12th June in respect of all correctly completed claims sent with the corresponding number of tickets, received by the deadline. This is the full face value of the ticket before VAT which is the property of HM Customs & Excise.
- This amount is a discretionary goodwill offer being made by Oasis and their promoters, SJM Concerts and Metropolis Music ( "the Promoters" ) to any genuinely disappointed concert attendees only. Neither Oasis nor their promoters, admit any liability and ticket holders are referred to the terms and conditions of purchase as set out at their point of ticket purchase and on the reverse of their tickets. - IMPORTANT: NO TICKET, NO REFUND. A genuine, original ticket for Oasis' Heaton Park concert on June 4th must be sent for each ticket refund requested (eg: if you are requesting refund of two tickets you MUST send both tickets). This offer is only made to those who attended the concert so each ticket will be scanned on receipt and only those verified at having been in attendance will be refunded. - No payments will be made unless this form is fully and correctly completed and signed. - No claims will be accepted or processed if received after Friday 12 June last post. - In the event of a dispute the decision of the Promoters will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. - The Promoters will only use your personal information in connection with processing your refund"
Im absolutely sick of them trying to do anything possible to get out of paying these refunds. They offered it, so they should honour it. Me and my mates could really do with that money and let's face it, are Noel and Liam going to miss it? Plus the fact they won't be paying it anyway, it'll be their management/insurance company. RIDICULOUS.

Ive sent an email to Manchester evening news to see if they've had many people contacting them about the same thing, you never know, it might come up trumps.
