I'm looking to extract some audio from a couple of DVDs I own and I realized that I don't really have the tools to extract the audio. What's the best free tool that can rip audio from a DVD, preferably in its original format?

Which tool/software would you use to extract video from DVD in a comfortable format for future video editing? I once used a software which converted the Stop the Clocks DVD (Noel and Liam interview) in .wmv but I don't have it anymore.

You can save it as mpeg if you plan to edit it or mkv if you'd rather save some HDD space. make sure to select "Copy" on both audio and video codecs to save it as it's original format and also to make it faster. You'll only be changing the output container
