You've all come up with some good examples but there's only ONE real answer to the question. The one and only King of Underratedness is [insert drumroll]: (Porbably) All In The Mind. Why, you ask? *It has the loud guitars *It has the attitude *It has the groove *It has the vocals *It has the harmonies Only downside is that it's on the wrong album. no offence man but that song is probably the worst song in oasis' catalogue. i'm not even fucking kidding. as bad as my sister lover is and all that, probably all in my mind is just that much worse. noel should be ashamed he wrote that. I disagree completely. PAITM is a nice tune with a great melody that is just totally forgotten. I can't remember hearing any reference to this song in the past 6 months on here.

To me, Liam is really bringing down Oasis with his songs. I mean, some aren't that bad at all, but they're subpar when compared to what Oasis have already done. And I know is hard to beat what they've made in the past, but if Liam wants to continue writing then his work should be mainly b-sides, unless it completely compliments the album at the time. Liam complained about too many remixes and hardly any b-sides from DOYS, well there you go Liam.. the b-side library could be all yours. I don't know how you see Oasis+what you expect from them and what you want from them but... I'm gonna quote now myself: "I don't know totally objectively how good majority of fans see Liam's songs, technically or emotionally, but for me songs like Born on a Different Cloud, Songbird, GGTIA, IOT, Boy With the Blues... they're really important to me, they're part of Oasis to me and there's a lot in them that's just what the bands+the Gallaghers are all about. Cut them out and you'd gave a big piece of the puzzle missing." Liam's songs represent a lot of things Oasis stands for and what the band is all about. Plus, he's good with melodies, and actually zomg, he's good with words too. He's straight spoken yes, and so's his messages in his songs. There's massive amount of spirit and strengt and character in his songs. I generally don't go wanting to point out "you're wrong" but I just fail to see how people who are really immersed with the band can't like Liam's songs at some levels at least.

Yeah, they may have a catchy riff or whatever, but a lot of it comes down to lyrics and that's where Liam fails. Like I said, there are some Liam tunes that aren't bad at all, but they are nothing more than fillers with some being good and bad. He lacks that extra step in songwriting that could really make him an amazing musician. And to seem like I'm not a total Liam song hater guy, I think he put tremendous effort into DBTT! Some, if not all, of his songs really push the album forward. So there..
