These people who don't think a Noel solo album is coming have clearly not been listening to or reading any of Noel and Liam's interviews over the last year or so. Noel has said on many occasions that he has songs which won't fit on an Oasis album but which he needs to get out there. He's mentioned doing something after this tour. Even Liam has said if Noel wants to do a solo album 'he'd better get on with it' (or words to that effect) which is a big change in his previous stance.
But Noel is lazy so it will be unlikely to happen until at least this time in 2010. The only way I can see it not happening is if for some reason they decide to record the next Oasis album straight after this tour (which is very unlikely). I can see Noel banging together a relatively lo-fi album in the style of the alternate versions on the boxset, a few small gigs to promote and then going back into the studio with Oasis in late 2010 or early 2011.
Going back to the original post - The Riddler has been good with information previously so there must be something going on. Fingers crossed for an EP - it would make a lot of sense. Liam could have put down vocals for the track (Record Machine) when the tour passed through LA. Dave Sardy would have done the mixing so no need to interupt the tour to get it finished.

The last part of this interview:
Noel says he going to do something solo but, he will never leave Oasis and his solo things would not effect Oasis..

I don't get all this latin stuff - its nearly as silly as the John Cena nonsense was. Anyways heres my take on it.............. Elder brother tells his will that his image will be ready Could be Noels own "pretty green" style clothing range haha!!........what do you think Noel would call it? John Cenna was the most funniest moment on the board

As to Noel going solo: I'll believe it when I see it. We've played this game for nearly a decade now, and just because he's getting on in years, people seem to think it's more likely to happen now.
No way. It'll be at least another Oasis LP or two before it happens. I think he's still VERY concerned with solidifying the band's rep. Yes, I feel he's very much enamored with adding a couple more LP's (including perhaps another "Morning GLory") to cement their legacy. DBTT was close, bend off 3-4 tunes from the usual suspects and it would've been very close.
we'll see.

Besides, he already went "solo"...it was called Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. Played everything and the music and lyrics were about as intimately personal and introspective as you can get with 5 instruments.

one thing is a sure... the only thing that noel and liam have in common this days... is their love for oasis as a band... so I don't see the end of oasis anytime soon... I hope for a noel solo album... in the 3 years break for every oasis album... and with a small acoustic tour for promotion... just like the one he did with gem... and theb, next fucking glorius album that will take oasis to the level of the best bands on the history of rock&roll...

So, I'm pretty sure no one translated the title. Which you would think someone would do.
Novus: novel, unusual, extraordinary, news, novelty, a new thing, fresh, young, inexperienced, revived, refreshed
So it could just mean news, but look at all the other possible translations.

Nidhi Sharma - Celebrity News Service Reporter
London, England (CNS) - What might be a new Oasis song has appeared online. The unidentified track was recorded by a fan during the sound check for a recent show in Taipei City, Taiwan.
According to a fan site live4ever.us, the song features Noel Gallagher and an acoustic guitar. There is speculation in the media that the new song could also be recorded for Gallagher's solo album.
No official announcement has been made by Oasis regarding the song and it is still not clear if the track will be on a future Oasis album or on Gallagher's eventual solo effort.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1 last year, Oasis songwriter leader Gallagher says he does plan to record a solo album when the band's current mammoth tour is over towards the end of 2009. And Noel wants his brother Liam to do the same.
Oasis is currently on tour in Asia in support of their current release "Dig Out Your Soul."

Hmm. I'm thinking we're sliding back in to the EP territory here again. It just strikes me as a bit weird why Noel would announce solo plans half way through a world tour. Definitely agree. If he's going to announce it, it's not going to be in the midst of an Oasis tour. It's more of a "I'll do this one on the side before the next Oasis project" than a "I'm going to bugger off and do my own thing, fuck Oasis!" sort of plan.

How the fuck did "Noel strums a song to himself during a soundcheck" (as he probably does most nights, but there's usually no-one recording) become "Noel solo album imminent."
?

Yeah, he probably has shitloads of stuff. For all we know this specific song could be ten years old and recorded by the band several times. Linking this song to a Noel solo album is silly. Not saying it won't happen though either.

Furthermore, up until 2007 Noel has said many times he brought up going solo JUST TO PISS OFF LIAM. If any one of you think Noel is going to go solo before Oasis have officially broken up, you're a nutcase, it just doesn't make any sense. True. However, I'm of the theory that the Toronto attack has made Noel think twice about any musical ambitions he may have. Before, I think he was willing to let it run and run and, if it never happened, fine, as long as Oasis are running good. But I think the attack made him think "it's something I've always wanted to do, and after this tour is the first chance I'll get to do it".

If he really wanted to do one why didn't he do it in 2001 or 2004? Doing one now make no sense, especially when he is the primary creative voice of the band. If anything - and don't shoot me - I want a Liam Gallagher solo record

I really hope that a Noel solo album happens, to be honest (in my opinion) there is nothing better than a noel written and noel sung tune lately, i know thats not what all of you think but my favourite two songs of DOYS were Waiting for the rapture and falling down, so i think a full album of noel tunes that he sings would be amazing, and i havent stopped listening to that clip of the sound check - i personally dont understand how people cant want an album of stuff like that. Also, it wouldnt be a waste - what is a waste is having a huge collection of tunes that are brilliant but otherwise wouldnt be released at all under the Oasis umbrella

I'm just worried I'm fucking up the song for myself when (if?) we ever hear the entire song properly, it won't be as special when we hear it in all it's glory . Still this song has about 15 melodic and vocal hooks in 90 seconds, it's like musical heroin, I can't go for long without giving myself a fix of it.
