SCYHO is one of my fave Oasis songs, but I think Noel left it out because it's not a staple song they play live.
In fact, I have no idea why Noel played it live with an electric guitar during the HC tour - sounded terrible and the distortion really doesn't fit. Really needs just acoustic and piano.

Theres electric in the studio version, with tremelo. It sounds great

it's amazing, but noel felt it was similar to a lot of music the band had already made. that's why he didn't originally want it as a single on Heathen Chemistry.

my first thought on hearing it was "it's just Don't Go Away again".

All Around The World not quite what i said. Stay Young is one song i like a loot, too bad it was subbed for Magic Pie. a lot of BHN just pisses me off for how much better i think it should have been. stupid coke.

BHN is my favourite album. Why is it clever to take a chorus out of a song but not to make it longer with multiple changes in keys? Obviously neither is very clever but DOYS is just as dumb as BHN...
Noel just has negative associations with it obviously and won't like to reminisce about the days of being a drug addict. That doesn't mean we have to abandon it just cos he did. People need to make up their own minds about stuff...

All Around The World I'd take out Don't Go Away and replace it It's Getting Better (Man!!), but otherwise I'd agree. BHN is an album full of good tunes, but it also has such wasted potential.

"Be Here Now" could of been better no doubt about that. "Stand By Me" for instance should of been stripped down to almost acoustic. Not totally acoustic (like "the pool" version) but "Wonderwall" acoustic if you know what I mean? "My Big Mouth" is a great song but I find it impossible to listen to it on my ipod. All I can hear is hiss. The same can be said for "It's Gettin Better (Man!)" I wouldn't change "Don't Go Away" or "D'You Know What I Mean?" they're perfect as they are. I still to this day can't believe that "Stay Young" was left off. It's a crime. That song is the most positive thing Oasis ever done. It's better than 85% of the finished album. I still love BHN though. I suppose I have a soft spot for it because it was the album that got me into Oasis in the first place.

I think "SCYHO" is mandatory listening for anyone that digs Oasis.

In the States, SCYHO became popular off of The Butterfly Effect, which was a great touch to end the film. And I believe after that, it became just a popluar as Wonderwall did, but I assume Wonderwall ended up being more catchier of the two to the American people. And so the reason why it was left off of STC is beyond me, it's easily placed in my top 5 and I'm confident that'll never change.

SCYHO was never as popular as Wonderwall in the States. While I think SCYHO is better, it wasnt bigger. EVERYONE in the States knows Wonderwall. If I played SCYHO for 10 random people, Id bet only 3 know of SCYHO. However Id bet that 8 would LOVE the song. Its a Top 5 Oasis song for me aswell, and I dont think that will ever change
