This was posted by rolinice (xtrmntrscream?) on STC Don't know if he planned on posting it here- i didn't really expect him to, but if he does i apologize....
Roli's a pretty credible guy and i believe him, so this really excites me. Everyone was saying the first half was so amazing, it's kind of nice to hear things like this about the back end, letting us believe the whole album is fantastic!

it's gonna be different for everyone. i tend to ignore reviews. but i am after some psychedelia, so that sounds promising. soldier on's gonna be the bollocks. i can tell.

soldier on's gonna be the bollocks. i can tell. Unfortunately, we haven't heard hardly anything about that one. But what we have heard has been fairly consistent- slow, cs-like, epic, grandiose, swaggering closer. And noel said it goes dubby in the end! I don't know what that means, but i think i like it!

Yea, it is nice to hear good stuff about the second half.
I figured the second half just wasn't as catchy at first. It's really tough to judge an album/songs after only one time of hearing them. Especially in the circumstances that they had to deal with.
This album is going to have to be listened to quite a few times in order for you to really judge it.
When I first heard TSOTL, I liked the verses and thought the chorus was kind of out of place. But now I like the chorus a lot more. But if you had one time to listen to it, you'd have a much different thought.
I don't know if I'm making sense anymore, so I'll stop here . . .

It's also odd that he said 'The Nature of Reality' was his favorite song. If that's true than it's great news because the fans who heard the album one time said it was 'poor' and a 'filler'. The guy on the STC forum said that it was, 'The worst one on the album'.
Maybe it needs time to grow. I guess we'll find out in a couple of months . . .

sounds like the album will have a different favorite for each fan (like the others) but i think this one will be more evident. TSOTL chorus has grown on me too. I love the "all in good time" bit great last summer anthem.

First, this critic says he enjoyed DBTT and then goes on to say his favorite song off DOYS is the Andy Bell tune.
His opinion is worthless.

You'll really know when you get the album. The reviews are very "informative" but it's impossible to imagine the sound of a song from some letters. If you ask to every Oasis fan which is the best song, or the best album, or what he thinks about BHN (for example) you are going to get very different answers. I like to hear that someone give a 9/10 or 8/10 or whatever, but it's not enough. I’m just pointing that it's ok to read the reviews and to get and idea, but DON'T HEAR THE SONG FROM JUST TEXT.

Hmmm.
After reading the past few listeners opinions, I was beginning to doubt the album (stupid, I know). But now this guy is saying the second half is HIS favorite part. Great news.

EVERYBODY'S opinion is worthless to yourself, except your own. if someone else doesn't like what you do, don't mean you're in the wrong. why are so many people worried about songs that have had bad press? be patient and take your own swing on it. especially if it's the NME!

I don't know what to think now about Soldier On, since it's been compared to Better Man and I don't think it can really reach epic heights at 4 and half minutes long.

First, this critic says he enjoyed DBTT and then goes on to say his favorite song off DOYS is the Andy Bell tune. His opinion is worthless. I've noticed on the occasional thread that no one likes you... and the more posts I see from you the more I realize why... basically because you're a fucking taint. His opinion is not worthless, seeing as he has heard the record and you haven't. You're karma is negative 5 for a reason, so shut the fuck up unless you have something to contribute that's not idiotic.

This is great news. I think this album will grow on us just as TSOTL did. Ugh, I get what you're saying, but I just hate the thought of having to let an oasis album GROW on me. I want it to be immediate, yknow? I want it to blow my fucking mind on first listen. TSOTL has grown on me a tad bit, but I still think its a 7/10. Edit: I love the billboard description of one of Noel's songs as "sludgy". fuck yeah.

The description of The Turning makes that song sound like it's got some inspired touches, the kind of thing Noel used to do a lot, so that's got me intrigued. Also, any Oasis rock song that has a Columbia feel is alright by me.

Now spit the cum out of your mouth, go sit in a corner and speak when spoken to, you pansy ass bitch.
