Not wrong just, um, expressing my opinion. As much as I love Oasis, they can't do psychedelic. Putting a mellotron or some some fake 'Indian sounding instruments' on something doesn't make it psychedelic (Who Feels Love, Go Let It Out, Probably All In The Mind etc). Tomorrow Never Knows is art, Falling Down is a bad xerox. But each to his own I guess. Interesting comment, because Liam Gallagher was actually the first one to point this out. Back in 2000 when SOTSOG came out, he noted that people - fans like you, the media, etc. - were relentlessly comparing the band to the Beatles. And he said - "it's not the Beatles, it's just a fuckin' mellotron". They never really claimed to be psychedelic and never said they put instruments into their music to be like The Beatles, but some people have got it in their heads that it must be the case...even though they can't back it up. By the way, since you seem to know what is NOT psychedelic, can you tell us what is? Since Tomorrow Never Knows includes all those things you tell us do NOT make Oasis psychedelic, like "fake sounding Indian instruments" and "mellotrons"? Should Noel learn sitar? Oh wait the Beatles have already done that, so that wouldn't be right. Tomorrow Never Knows was a total one off, due to the way it was recorded it could never be replicated. Nothing like it had never been done before, and wouldnt even be attempted for another 20 or so years. It was sheer sonic experimentation with no influence or reference points. Falling Down is none of the above.
