How much do the tickets usually go for in the Philadelphia area? It depends entirely on the venue. If they're playing Wachovia, I would bet anywhere from $40 to $75. If they're playing TLA or Tower, probably something like $30 to $40. I doubt they'd play Camden in December, but if there probably around $50.

God I hope they don't play Camden, your chances of getting mugged go up tenfold. As for the Pier...omg that was awful never again..

But they will either play the Tower or an enclosed Tweeter Center in Camden much like they did January '98. Wachovia would be nice but I don't see it...

Hope they come to Boston, I'm sure they will just because of the college fanbase and the Britpop fans that exist here. Maybe they should joint tour with the Verve...that'd be massive. I like the winter tour, actually. Much as I'd be fine seeing them fill Gillette Stadium in the summer (U2's Popmart tour was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and that was at the old Foxboro Stadium), they won't be able to. In the Boston area, you really would have to go down to Mansfield, which is a hike for some, and a pain to get in and out of. I would still go but I've actually been avoiding shows down there recently in favor of gigs in CT or NH when bands hit one or both of those states on top of MA. If it's a winter tour I'd have to guess Oasis would play a venue bigger than the Orpheum...but not as big as the TD Banknorth Garden. Anyone think they might go for the new Agganis Arena at BU? Saw Dylan there last year and it was a great place to see a gig. If they come in the winter, it would almost certainly be at the Garden. They sold out in Mansfield last time around (22,000), so I don't see why they wouldn't play the Garden, which has a capacity of of a around 17 or 18,000, especially considering the greater hype surrounding this album. Completely agree with your sentiments about touring with The Verve. I'd be breaking down the doors to get into that show, no matter where it was.

The "venue" was an absolute shithole as well. Probably the worst place Ive ever seen the band. The show as good of course (aside from JET) but the asphalt and the heat were horrible. Fuck Festival Pier. Ugh. The venue & the people were horrid. Liam kept on telling the sound guys there was something wrong, I got pushed towards the back by some drunken frat boys, the people in the back were even worse...Teenagers who only perked up when wonderwall came on. We drove from Brooklyn so I guess the drive wasnt that bad.

Im not saying its good (its not) but Ive seen a few shows at the ampitheatre there and provided you're not walking a long distance away from the venue, its got good security. Usually a lot of cops out after the show. If they do go the closed method, it could very well be the venue.

Gonna tailgate off the trunk of the civic, then?? Kidding... I remember going to the Brotherly Love tour in 2001, and some fights almost broke out between Oasis & Crowes fans. Strangely, I didn't see any Spacehog fans around...hmm... Might be, holds a good pony keg, an ounce of weed, windows are blacked out for couple of nose rails and excellent if you wanna walk out baked! And great on gas!!
