Leclerc won. Only outcome i wanted out of today's race due to his close relationship with Hubert. Getting his first win on the weekend he died must be an emotional roller-coaster.

Romain Grosjean is one lucky man. The front half of his car literally went through the steel barrier and burst into flames, yet he was able to hop out in a matter of minutes. Insane.
The advancements in motorsports over the last 10-20 years have been astounding. This crash reminded me of another awful crash, this one in NASCAR's Daytona 500 from February that Ryan Newman miraculously survived:

Terrifying stuff. No matter how safe they make F1, it will always be dangerous so kudos to the safety team who have improved the sport tenfold in recent years.
As for Grosjean, so relieved he made it out. Those 30 seconds after when he was upside down were the most terrifying thing to watch. That said, I don't think it should take away the fact that Grosjean's driving is bordering on insanity - he's been in the sport since 2009 and has had various incidents where he's put the lives of others at risk with his reckless style. Prior to this fireball, he was driving the circuit like a madman. Hopefully this incident will ensure he does some serious soul searching before he puts others at risk again.

True, but this wreck was ironic because it was caused by someone else making a quick move to avoid another car that got him in trouble. I think this wreck will definitely getting him thinking though.

I think he'll be out of Formula 1 after this season, he will try to make a comeback for the last race in Abu Dhabi but if he can't he isnt guarantee to continue in the sport.

RIP Murray Walker. That call of Damon Hill as world champ, unforgettable:

What a pissing joke that was. Biggest farce I've ever seen in any sport.
It's not a sport, it's scripted entertainment for the Netflix masses.

I know a lot of people are mad about what happened today but it was refreshing to see the FIA take a hands-off approach to the championship and just let them decide it amongst themselves. The final lap call was odd since I assume Lewis stayed out knowing there wouldn't be enough laps under the rules in place, yet the officials decide to seemingly bend the rules, but it was good to see them race fo the championship under green instead of a yellow-flagged finish.
Good job to Verstappen, and especially great effort by Lewis. Verstappen executed perfectly when it counted and Lewis did a great job holding him off for as long as he could. It was really his to lose all day and sadly for him, he did right at the end.
