I'm religious and reckon there should be some rules but after seeing how many people don't have a religion or disobey it these days is there any point of it still being there?

You shouldn't care what people think, kid. Be true to yourself, if you feel passionate about something, stand for it. And I'm not saying that in a condescending way.....you tend to misinterpret my posts rather frequently...

I think on a personal level it's a good thing to have, my belief keeps me strong. I don't care what people think about me being a believer 'coz it's my choice, I believe in God and Jesus, some people don't, that's just the way it is.

Disobey? I don't see what I believe in as something I HAVE to follow. It's just something you believe in and you get out of it what you want. No need for all the rules...

Organised religion is something that fucks with childrens minds from day one. Religion should be something you can choose, when you're able to.
Rules are needed, society decides what they are, people choose to obey/disobey them. That's fine to me.

I'm with J Velvert on this one. Religous bigotry is really bad where i come from and its just bloody stupid, sending kids to seperate schools, what a load of shite. If catholics want their kids to be catholic then they should teach them the religion at home and not rely on teachers and having seperate schools.

If a lion imagined a god, he would imagine Him to be lion-like religion to me, personally, is arse, but can be v interesting from a psychological perspective... J . M . O. !!!

Religion is a social matter, as is being human. Ideas about spirituality come about when people interact, and the idea of a human-like god isn't necessary. The aboriginals of Australia for example didn't (and still don't) have that concept, their idea was more like 'I'm a part of nature and nature's a part of me, and something I dont fully grasp keeps it all together.' It's been a while since I read about these things but that's where I was left at. Sorry to go a bit round your question F. but as you said, it couldn't be answered without being quite speculative.

I believe religion is a "mountain" and it does not matter which path you chose to climb to the top. I find world religions absolutely fascinating. I try to be tolerant and respectful of them all. as you know, the major world religions have many similarities.. (and differences.) and view this as a MOST personal topic . I also am highly interested in SPIRITUALITY. (that means a lot of things..) why am I even typing this ?
