Quit whining guys. The attack could not have been prevented. I wonder what you would shout if all the arabs at the airport would be sent away! Just had a thought, as they knew planes where going to be used, they should have had all cockpits shut so that no one could have taken control of the plan. There for no race would have been persecuted. It know still may not have succeeded. But I think people are missing my point. I don’t blame the US government for the attack, but that doesn’t excuse them for doing nothing. If you try and fail there can me no complaints. But not to try is a disgrace, especially considering the amount of the US budget spent on defence.

I'd rather every passenger on the plane died than 3000 in the WTC

I'd rather every passenger on the plane died than 3000 in the WTC that's very simplistic tho, its not that black & white imagine being a captain hearing that they're slowly slitting the throat of a child, cutting him apart piece by piece? While logically what you say is correct, it'd be vastly different if you were ever put into that situation

that's why I hate emotional appeals like kalas nad like what you are making right now.
yes, hearing every child's throat being slit would suck....but hearing 3000 people die also would suck. which would suck more?
bringing personal stories and the like into things I find offensive because it obscures the debate and the issues.
