haha this is epic. Link here: rightsquared.com/?p=510Advance Copy: President Obama’s Resignation Letter: June 15, 2009 My Fellow Americans: I regret to inform you that I am not able to complete my term as President of the United States. This decision does not come lightly and is the result of considerable deliberation on my part. It has become painfully obvious to me that my current position as President of the United States will not provide the necessary resume enhancement for transition to my next job as President of the New World Order. As your President I was mistaken when I thought I could BS my way through the tangled web of international diplomacy and actually look like I knew what I was talking about. I also must admit that I was unaware that after I spent all your money, I could not simply print more and leave an I.O.U. for your grandchildren. Hell, if that damn pesky Constitution hadn’t got in my way, I probably could have done even more damage. I want to assure the American people that I have fully briefed Crazy Uncle Joe Vice-President Biden and Speaker Pelosi on my plans for a catastrophic collapse of the U.S. economy and have their solemn pledge to soldier on with my agenda. Should the lingering effects of my failed Presidency haunt future generations, just keep repeating to yourself “Hope & Change…Hope & Change.” I mean, it got me elected so it must work. If that doesn’t work, just blame George Bush. That worked for me too. In closing, I therefore wish to advise the American people that I will resign as President of the United States, effective July 3, 2009. This will give me and the First Lady time to join our new friend Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for a 4th of July barbecue in Tehran. When I told Mahmoud we would bring the hot dogs and beer, he muttered something in Farsi about him bringing a new dessert he is preparing for mass distribution in Israel. I don’t know what yellow-cake with enriched uranium is, but it sounds delicious. Thanks for letting us stay in that really cool house in D.C. and holla back when you get that economy thing worked out. Best Wishes Barack Hussein Obama President of the New World Order P.S.: Can you make me a deal on the teleprompters? I’ll be needing them for my new gig. Thanks: Barry

Come on NL4E, he's only been in office since January. Nobody can turn the world on their heads in that time - well, maybe Hitler and those other facist but not as popular bastards.

if someone became President having never travelled outside of the country despite having a father who was President, VP and director of the CIA and then bungled his way through two wars and incited widespread Anti-Americanism throughout the world, that would be a success by your metrics or would that be B.S.'ing one's way through foreign policy?
Conversely, since Obama has become President, he's given a speech heralded throughout the Muslim world, become an admired and revered leader throughout the world, slowed the rise of unemployment and started a massive undertaking of improving our national infrastructure (the nation received a D from the American Society of Civil Engineers in January) that will provide jobs for hundreds of thousands and keep millions safe. Now, if you'd prefer, we could continue to let the levees fail in at-risk areas, let bridge continue to collapse or we could start getting to work fixing things.
You've got sour grapes and a seemingly paralyzing fear of the unknown. Out of curiosity, where does all this free time come from that allows you to read right-wing blogs all the time? We know that you didn't vote which already cuts most of your arguments and opinions off at the knees. Do you have a job during the summer with a bi-weekly paycheck that has taxes deducted for the "massive" government you're so scared of? Do you have a job during the school year? You're so happy to share your term papers and your first drunken night in college trying to hit on a girl, perhaps you'd like to give us a bit more of a picture on the person that is NL4E.

Free time is called being in a foreign country, Armenia, where I'm interning with the Peace Corps (equates to doing pretty much fuck all). Plus, I'm 4 hours ahead of UK time, and 9 hours ahead of US time, so thats to my advantage, too. But alas, I'm returning to the US in 2 weeks (5 weeks earlier than expected) . Gosh, doesn't anyone read my blog!

when did the lounge become the Politics Lounge?
jeez, I'm trying my best with you, it's not like I wake up every morning and think "let's fight with NL4E". but I'm just so sick of all this anti Obama crap you put daily. I don't care about politics, let alone american politics. you're not the center of the world FFS I know what you're response is going to be... "you don't like it, don't read" blah blah blah. it's impossible, there's no way of escaping from it. please, put all this crap in the same thread, didn't you started like a million of them already?! when I log to the forum and go to the lounge I expect to relax, have fun, post nonsense and laugh a bit. all that... gone

Otherwise it'd be in the UT section Some of you need to lighten up. For 8 years, Bush got bashed and made fun of, it's now Obama's turn from the point of view of the Conservatives. Not every anti-Obama post has to be taken seriously and analyzed....this one was just for entertainment purposes. Again, whoever posted the thread "this forum is dying" or whatever was not 100% accurate, but close enough - you lot need to regain your sense of humor and lighten up!

And you're "sick of all the anti-Obama crap"?
Wow. Get over yourself. What do you think conservatives had to deal with for 8 years? Don't like it, then don't read the thread with "Obama" in it. [You claim it's impossible? Well here's a hint: Don't move your mouse pointer towards the link, and do not double click that link. Instead, find another thread title you like and click on that - but make sure you double click with the left clicker! If my mom can use a computer, I'm sure you can too - I have faith in you, Eva!]
Really funny, we live in societies which promote freedom of thought. And here on this forum we have people complaining because Oasis don't cater to their desires, or Eva complaining about a political post she disagrees with.
Believe it or not, Eva, not everyone is going to agree with you and not everyone is going to post things that you like.
If you have an opinion on the subject then voice it by all means, but complaining about a topic just because "you don't like reading it" is just, well, silly.

For everyone's benefit, here's a list of topics it will now be considered appropriate to discuss in The Lounge:
Cake Your favourite brand of toothpaste The average wingspan of the common house sparrow What colour the sky is Cheeses of Eastern Europe The edibility of bacon fat Which of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the best looking Whether or not chalk tastes better than charcoal Marzipan fruits How difficult it is to lick your own elbow

i surfed that site a bit... ridiculous. it's shocking, but not surprising that NL4E cites crap like this.
"sarah palin declares her independance!" ;D
lol! ooooh, poor palin got attacked by the big baaaad liberal media... ha ha, pathetic. this whole shit site sounds like berlusconi light. "i haven't done anything wrong, it is just those liberal media vaginas who always try to discredit me!"
