Bollocks.

We all know that as soon as poor old Chelsea appeal the ban that it will be overturned and they will be back to their old ways.

Having said that all the big clubs do it and only Chelsea have had to bear the brunt of it. A bit unfair really. Ah well its not like Fifa to want to tarnish one of the leading brands in their sports names is it. Nice one Platini.

They better not over turn it.

Chelsea is a club that has epitomizes everything wrong in football since Roman joined.

you are right: roman saw football as modern day entertainment and wanted to have his own theatre with his own entertainers! he is YOU with more money.

this chelsea story is just priceless! i'm curious about all those players with contracts until 07/2010! they will sign the contracts of their lives in one year!

The average age of the squad is 28, isn't it? In near enough 2 years time, that should be 30, maybe 29 depending on if people leave. The top stars will be into their 30's and the reserves and youth players tbh, aren't very good, minus Mancienne, who keeps getting loaned out, and Di Santo, who's at Blackburn and should stay there. If Zhirkov doesn't adapt well, thats 18m down the drain and no new blood to contribute to the team. This season I still say 2nd for them, but next? Maybe 4th and the season after that, maybe even 5th as they have to start buying tons and tons of talent to counteract the age increase. Look at AC Milan and Juvenus, heck even Bayern, they've all gone to shit because of the age of the squad. Chelsea will be next :)

Remember, Scolari got off to a good start, too

Regardless, I'm still tipping Chelsea for the league. But the transfer ban will hurt come this summer if it's not repealed.

scolari has only won anything with a team that is full of individuals and has enough creativity to make up for his lack of game plan. with chelsea, all he did was bomb the full backs forward and expect them to carry the attack. bad move. ancelotti has them pass along the middle and the wings along with the bombing full backs.

the position chelsea lacks in is at the wings. when joe cole is back perhaps him and malouda can play on opposite flanks but malouda is good at best, absent at worst.. hopefully zhirkov or even sturridge could step up.

It's not canceled, it's suspended. They will be banned, but probably not until after January

They'll get away with it and if they don't they'll buy a load of young up and coming players in January
